The problem is that it is not the socialist leaders that are the reason the wealthy are leaving, it is the socialist people who voted for them. These voters have shown that they are willing to use their vote strip wealth from those who earned it.
I have no faith in Bobs Supreme Court will uphold it if it passes. We did vote for $30 car tabs which they overturned the vote of the people.
Owning a house/business/farm is wealth, but not income.

Sports leagues need to eliminate their drafts. If an owner wants a athlete to play in a high taxed city it needs to be the player's choice based on a free market system. Hard to negotiate when a billionaire owns the rights to your labor.

Anyone with a brain wants millionaires and billionaires spending money in their cities and state just to stimulate the local economy. Taxes are nice too... Revenue is actually enhanced by lower taxes than other states.

This is a betrayal of the principles of the principles of a democratically based, free enterprise society. Wealth creators cannot stay in a place where the people will vote to take thr fruits of their labour off them at anytime.
It’s not just the high taxes, it’s the absolutely fraudulent use of said taxes. Most people would swallow high taxes if they delivered spotless, well maintained city’s and road, safe clean transit, stellar academically performing schools with all the extras that used to be normal (music, arts, shop, etc), and beautiful public facilities. But they charge top dollar for crime, squalor, and failure.
These super rich people fund these democrats so they dug their own grave if you ask me. They should have been funding better politicians. But these are the politicians big money put in these seats.

That is one of many reasons I have relocated my businesses and my family. I still maintain a business in Washington, but my headquarters, my family, and my taxes are going to a state where they appreciate hard-working Americans.

Im actively trying to convince my entire family to exit WA state. None of us are millionaires but this tax WILL go to every resident. As it is, say goodbye to good times and hello to unemployment, homelessness, beggars everywhere, high crime.

That is nonuniform taxation. It means that for the first time we're saying based on the demographics of a person meaning whatever you want to use to define that person (in this case their wealth) — you are going to be treated differently. And that is different than an income tax, because remember when you have graduated income tax rates (and you say high earners get taxed more) — what you're taxing is the earnings, not the individual. You're not looking through to the individual to determine whether or not they're wealthy. All you're doing is looking at the independent earnings amount that's coming in. And so a uniformity clause is supposed to protect people from being demographically discriminated against. And you may roll your hand and be like: ‘Oh, who cares about the billionaires? Eat the rich. That's great.’ But fundamentally, you're giving the government, the legislature, the ability to in the future take any demographic definition they want and go in and take any percentage they want of after-tax property from you.
