Jackie Gleason, the legendary American comedian and star of "The Honeymooners", on the time he got CBS to send him a private train to Miami: In the 1960s, Gleason decided he didn't want to shoot his show in New York anymore. He wanted to do it in Miami, and he wanted to get there in style. "When we're doing the Honeymooners, I had a big contract for that for two years. And after the first year, I said I didn't want to do it. And they didn't believe me. They thought I had a job somewhere else. And finally, they realized that I just didn't want to do it." When the network came back asking him to do another show, Gleason was in California making a picture. He said yes, but with one condition: "I said, 'All right.' I said, 'But I want a train that goes to Florida.' Because I had come down here and played golf and liked it and I figured might as well go to Florida and do the show. Play golf all the time and they went for it." They went for it. What followed was a rolling party across the country. Gleason describes what was on the train: "Everything. We had two Dixieland bands come from California and they would spell each other. I'd say to them, 'Take five miles,' and the parties went on 24 hours." Asked if there were girls on the train, he laughs: "Boy, there were girls. There certainly were. And they were very, very nice girls. Nothing on it happened. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it didn't. Might have been because the berths were too small, but regardless of that, nothing happened on that trip." Asked if there was a bar on the train, his answer is perfect: "A bar. The train was a bar. I guess that's a classic example of what clout is." Then he delivers the line that sums up the whole story: "'Send a train, please.' That's right. I just finished watching The American Revolution, which is a documentary in the United States about our fight for independence. There were all kinds of mistakes made in the early days of the United States. We continue to make mistakes. But the important thing about democracies — the important thing about stable societies — is that we are able to correct those mistakes, to provide accountability and justice when mistakes are made, and to move forward in a positive way. And that is what I think we want for Syria and for the entire Middle East region.

🇮🇳An apology to all my readers, especially those from India Saturday, I was looking for videos of aircraft landing in the highest airports in the world. I googled for a video, found this on Reddit, from an Airport in Tibet, and shared it with the description. I should have been suspicious that reverse searches were not getting more videos of the place, and that the Reddit account from the post was from a deleted user. Anyway, this isn´t in Tibet, it´s in INDIA! This is actually Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (VILH/IXL) in Leh, Ladakh. (On what could be salvaged from my goof, it is what I intended to show. The aircraft seen here is landing in one of the highest commercial airports in the world, sitting at over 10800 feet - over 3 kms up in the air!) I want to thank Captain The Joker for the help on this one, who also noted that only Captains are allowed to land here - it requires a special qualification to operate here Once again, sorry for my mistake, goods happen here and then, but this one was really far from the correct info (literally)

I better do it right.”

mingyu sharing his cardio routine 🐶 cardio? i hate it. as you all know, i extremely hate cardio and i think i'm bad at dieting 🐶 what i do for cardio is that i have to exercise in the morning when i'm dieting. i wake up in the morning and walk slowly for a long time on an empty stomach. not really like running when you're on a treadmill but kind of a jog then i do it for a long time - in a way that i can wake my body up and remove my puffiness, then i eat something healthy then work out. rather than exercising in a fast pace for 20 minutes, i like doing it slowly and for a long time but that's the hardest. you know what i mean right? 🐶 other forms of cardio that i do is the stairmaster or i just go for a run outside, but when i go for a run i just get way too excited... anyway doing it on an empty stomach in the morning is the best for me 🐶 also if you go on youtube– i'll upload it on my ig story soon, but there are tabata exercises there for abs or whole body. i wake up in the morning and do that alone! 20 minutes and you'll be sweating profusely!
