@SenJohnson @GovBillLee Heaven forbid they allocate more money to public schools rather than diverting it to private schools who have no accountability to taxpayers. It’s not that difficult.

Meet Elvia - she owns TTT school. She enrolls 15-20 students every month at $6,000 each. She owns the Houston market and has a waiting list of students. Who out there has a waiting list?

It is imperative that scholarship recipients are assessed using the same academic standards the state itself has identified as critical for students, specifically through the TCAP exams. Most national normed exams are aligned to common core state standards. This approach would allow for an effective measurement of academic performance and outcomes.

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee A school is a school is a school no matter what side of the table it falls. Private schools should carry their own weight and be accountable the same as public schools. Public tax dollars should not be used to fund private schools. Public schools are already underfunded.

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee If they’re not requiring testing in private schools then why are they getting PUBLIC MONEY that’s intended for public schools????
@SenJohnson @GovBillLee If a school wants to accept public funds they should follow all the same standards required if any school accepting public founds.

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee Vouchers pimps lost their minds when we tried to do this in Arkansas through a ballot initiative ...

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee Parents can vote with their feet. If they're unhappy with a private school they can pull the child. These options don't exist with the public schools.

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee This is where your tax $$ will go. Meet Kenneth carpenter pastor/christian school founder who is salivating to get his hands on voucher money Maryville Apostolic school loses sex abuse prevention certification

@SenJohnson @GovBillLee Forced Tennessee taxpayer funding of segergation academies.
