In fact, ICE has been violating their own policy for a year by arresting people at immigration court. But Secretary Mullin didn’t even know that. DHS does not get to make up their own laws and it’s time Sec. Mullin learns what they are and follows them.

One of the major differences between Trump 1 and Trump 2 is the absolute disrespect they’re showing to the courts. No prior administration, no prior Justice Department—whether it’s a Democratic or Republican administration—has ever done things like this. This is just a blatant disregard for federal court orders. In some ways, this transcends everything and is more important than everything else because if the executive branch and the Justice Department can just thumb their nose at court orders, then the whole system breaks down.
