Delhi Police has removed the large barricades from the entry and exit points at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and, according to the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), switched off the CCTV cameras around the protest site. The allegations were made by CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das, who claimed these are pressure tactics intended to create panic among protesters and signal that a major police crackdown could be imminent ahead of the party's proposed Parliament march. Delhi Police has not publicly responded to these allegations. Meanwhile, it is past 3 a.m., and the protest site remains packed with supporters from across the country. Despite the late hour, there is barely any room to walk as thousands continue to stay at Jantar Mantar just hours before the planned march to Parliament. The proposed march still does not have police permission, even as discussions between CJP leaders and Delhi Police have continued through the night in an attempt to find a way forward before protesters set out in the morning. With only a few hours left before the scheduled march, the atmosphere at Jantar Mantar remains tense as supporters wait to see whether negotiations succeed or whether the protest enters its next phase.

Contrary to several claims circulating on social media suggesting that the #CockroachJanataParty (CJP) protest has ended or that the protest site has been completely dismantled, the protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar is very much ongoing. After the clashes during the proposed march to Parliament, protesters remained on the roads outside Jantar Mantar until around 3.30 a.m. before returning to the protest site. According to organisers, they rebuilt the stage after it was demolished during the police action and resumed the sit-in. Hundreds of protesters continue to remain at Jantar Mantar, while more supporters have been arriving at the venue through the day. Volunteers have also resumed organising the protest site as the demonstration continues. The developments come a day after the attempted Parliament march, which saw clashes between protesters and Delhi Police. The Delhi Police have been providing security and other facilities to the CJP protesters at Jantar Mantar for so long. Yet people like Abhijeet Dipke have done nothing but abuse and disrespect them. Just look at how politely the police are trying to explain things, while he's shouting at the top of his voice for absolutely no reason. What an arrogant and ill-mannered person.
