Watching Benjamin Crump eat a snack during a serious interview about Nolan Wells struck me as unprofessional and distracting. More importantly, I question the decision to bring him in as a spokesperson for this case. From what has been publicly reported, there has been no evidence presented that Nolan’s... disappearance and death were racially motivated. Because of that, I think that introducing racial narratives before the facts support them could distract from the central question: what actually happened to Nolan Wells? Nolan appeared to have friends from different backgrounds, and I believe the focus should remain on finding answers and establishing the truth based on evidence rather than turning the case into a broader social or political cause. The family has every right to choose their legal team and advocates, but I think this approach risks taking attention away from the facts of the case. As for the interview itself, seeing a spokesperson eating on camera during such a serious discussion did not inspire confidence.show more

Nolan’s mom has done everything right and I truly hope she gets the answers and closure she deserves. I’ll add this: I don’t have much confidence in the Jackson, Mississippi, police to handle a case like this with the transparency the family is asking for. One question for ABC News : Why blur the faces of Nolan’s white friends? If they’re adults and have information relevant to what happened, why hide their identities? Nolan Wells A grand jury will review all of the evidence gathered in Nolan's case. Remember, the FBI also opened a police cooperation case to assist. If there were any signs of foul play at autopsy, the preliminary statement from LE would not have indicated an accident. Those pushing that Nolan's white friends killed him over the fact he was black will keep pushing as long as Sharpton is in the mix. Sharpton should choose a case that needs his help. All indications are this is not that case, but $700K has been raised, and this money is calling his name. Crump will also benefit. As I’ve spent time examining Diana’s death, I’ve been struck by how many questions still have no clear answers in this case. Looking at what’s happening around the world, it feels like the right moment to take a closer, more honest look at what really happened that night. I believe there may have been foul play involved. I enjoyed working on this episode. The research and the people we spoke to made it a great experience.

Advocate Vijay Aggarwal has given a clear and logical view on the US DOJ’s decision to drop the criminal case against Gautam Adani. He pointed out that, in the DOJ’s own assessment, there was no substantive case from the beginning. The evidence turned out to be much weaker than initially expected, and more importantly, there was no demonstrable loss to investors. In such situations, the very foundation of the prosecution becomes questionable. He further noted that courts do not initiate or continue prosecutions on their own. It is the prosecution that decides whether to proceed or not. When the DOJ itself concludes that continuing the case is not justified due to lack of evidence and absence of loss, dismissal becomes the natural and correct outcome. This reinforces that the decision to drop the case is based on legal merit rather than external factors.
