watching this performance while knowing jaejoong was completely tone-deaf before his debut really amazes me like imagine how much he practiced before ended up being the main vocal of an acapella group 🥹

I remember when he said that he's like playing the MP3 player along while he is going back and forth from the training building to his home . He is playing the music and he singing along to it and his home is so far away. So he walked for hours . My baby practice so hard

that story! i remember it was his 1st noona house or his small rented room he got from his side jobs? the 1st and 2nd gen kpop idols are mostly come from poor family so they really give their all to survive for this chance 🥹

from what I remember it was his first noona house that is so far away from the company and then he rented a small room that he got from this side job to be more closer to the company. Gonna protect my jaejoong at all cost

@gojoshatoru i thought he moved in with his 1st noona bc he couldn't keep up with living in the rented room. though yeah, i think she lived in incheon(?), pretty far away but easily travelable by train/subway so many stories accumulated over the years that we jumble them together 😄

he really was! and i think that's one of the reasons why he almost didn't debut back then... 😞 (the story where they're about to tell him to back to his hometown but a staff saw him eating ice cream in apgujong rodeo and decided to keep him)

i always thought it was an over exaggerated way of saying he was bad at singing since tone deafness is an actual neurological disorder 😭😭😭

just read the whole thing and you're right... maybe the correct term should be "rhythm/beat deafness"?
