ARC Raiders indeed uses aggression based matchmaking, now confirmed by Embark CEO Patrick Söderlund. 🔸Play nice: The game matches you with other objective-focused Raiders. 🔸Play aggressive: The system puts you in "predator" lobbies with hostile players.

In order to buy Embark Studios enough time to "reset" ARC Raiders and make it a true PvE and PvP experience, they had to release The Finals first🥹

Case #1000 of a Larp Raider (Arc Raider) fanboy seething at the prospect of having to actually FIGHT in a PVP EXTRACTION SHOOTER 🤦‍♂️ They rely on their AI SLOP aggression based matchmaking to CODDLE them, its sad 😆 Marathon MANIACS embrace the PVP head ON 💯 #MarathonTakeover

A YouTuber tested ARC Raiders matchmaking by using 2 separate accounts: one where he engaged in PvP and another where he was only friendly. The conclusion: The game's matchmaking indeed judges your aggression and puts you into friendly or hostile lobbies accordingly.

Embark CEO says that engaging in PvP is against the ethos of ARC Raiders. He clarifies that the game's core design isn't about actively encouraging players to shoot each other. Instead, the PvP element is primarily used to create tension and uncertainty.

Embark's own game THE FINALS just had its best month in nearly a year and PVE was part of that update. Every major extraction shooter is either adding PVE or already has it. Marathon lost 96% of its player base going PVP only. The data is loud right now. October 8th we find out if Embark is listening. ARC Raiders better come correct! Video Link:
