A strategic economic intervention that will see the inclusion of 30 000 of our Youth into active economic activities across the city. This Youth focused Programme implementation will be delivered through six key pillars: 1. Incubating young founders via an Entrepreneurship Development Programme; 2. Creating pathways to procurement through a Supplier and Market Development Programme; 3. Facilitating placements via a Job Opportunities Initiative; 4. This project will deliver quality housing solutions for Jamaican families and increase the supply of homes in this area. Chester Creek forms part of our national housing strategy to expand access to home ownership and support orderly community development. Housing is central to social stability, economic growth, and national development. My Administration remains focused on working with private sector partners to accelerate housing delivery across Jamaica. We will continue to advance projects that provide practical solutions for our people.

BREAKING: FCT Minister Nyesom Wike flags off the construction of the Abuja City Walk project, a world-class mixed-use development modelled after Dubai’s iconic City Walk. The project will create a vibrant, mixed-use urban hub and will feature a 450-metre skyscraper projected to become Africa’s tallest tower, as well as commercial, retail, medical, hospitality, institutional and luxury facilities when completed. The development will also include a 13,000-seat indoor arena expected to become Nigeria’s largest indoor sports and entertainment venue, alongside an arts district with about 12,000 square metres of exhibition and performance space. Other features include “The Living Ravine,” an ecological corridor built around a sustainable “Sponge District” concept that uses wetlands, swales, and green waterways for flood management, rainwater harvesting, and climate resilience. We recognise that Early Childhood Development is the foundation of social growth. Every child deserves access to the broadest form of education and as early as possible. We are working to bridge the gap between regulatory compliance placed on ECDs and community needs. By easing land-use barriers and waiving specific development charges for ECDs, we are making it easier for these critical centres to thrive and keep our children safe. We are now exploring ways to improve intergovernmental coordination and review policy limitations to help more ECD facilities become fully compliant. City of Tshwane
