Dear friends, today is our ninth anniversary, we would have liked to celebrate with you and talk about beautiful things, but as you may have heard from the media, currently in Syria there are fierce clashes between rebels and the regime in several cities, Aleppo, our old and loved hometown just yesterday was the object of clashes but several people have contacted us saying that there is a shelter that has 600 partially disabled animals that have been left without any help, civilians are forbidden to move. we armed ourselves with meat and dry food and we are leaving to try to reach these animals. Will we succeed? We don't know! We will tell you this evening. ❤️‍🩹🫂I am feeling better today than I have on the previous days, my friends, but unfortunately, I still feel very tired, and my body and mind are so exhausted by our terrible situation. I did not yet feel well enough to visit the camp today, so the meals were distributed by my cousin, where they distributed a yellow rice dish and also some fruit juice. Things are very miserable here in 💔🇵🇸#Gaza, life is worse than hell itself. The bombings are very intense and frequent, and every day we hear of more people who have died from starvation or lack of medical attention. It is no life at all, my friends. Every day that the borders are closed to aid, there becomes less goods available to us and what's left costs so much it could make you cry, which is why we desperately need more donations if we are to continue to distribute meals for those who will starve without us. 💔I don't know what to do anymore, my friends. We are in a hopeless situation, desperately trying to stay alive and to show the world we want to stay alive. We need more of everything, every kind of aid that exists, and people are dying everywhere from every kind of miserable death you can think of. We need help for the animals, they are starving and suffering terrible diseases and need help too, they did not deserve this miserable life they are subjected to and they are trying to survive, just as we all are. 💔Things are escalating in areas near ours, and I don't know how much longer I will be able to communicate with you every day, my friends. There is nowhere to go that is safe, and people are targeted in their homes as they hide from the horror, so there is no safe path forward. I am so tired, I have not slept through the night in weeks and months, surviving on the occasional hour of silence that allows us to rest. Going outside is becoming increasingly dangerous, and I worry about what will happen to our friends in the camp as the army approaches, as well as the poor animals who are still living helplessly on the streets. We desperately need you, my friends. Your help is what has kept us alive to this point, and we are so grateful for your support. Your donations mean my family and I have survived, as well as the cats in my shelter, and many people have been fed or received aid as a result of your help. We need your continued support going forward, so that we might help the poor and desperate until our last dying breaths. 🥺💔We are so incredibly destroyed by the disappointment that was this ceasefire; in fact I'm not sure if there was even a moment in time that we felt safe, not even for one minute, and the bombing and violence has returned even closer and more destructive than ever. The situation we stand in remains as dire as ever, and every day we get closer to the most horrific and miserable death that anyone can imagine - that is, to slowly starve to death in front of the world. It's painful to walk around and video the suffering people - they were once proud and esteemed individuals who likely had a prosperous job and a home to live in - now reduced to begging and crying on the streets for cameras who will only humiliate them in front of the world. I show you what I can, my friends, because I want people to know that we are here, trying to live and trying to help others live too, but I am always conscious of the people who are being shown, because going through this is miserable enough. 🫂It's a terrifying feeling, my friends, to have a spark of hope while you are also fighting the certainty of your own death and of everyone you hold dear. It breaks my heart to see the animals who look so sickly thin on the streets, the cats and dogs who have survived for so long, only to starve. How much longer will this seige be placed on us? Until every living thing has died? Bombed or burnt to death to become someone's nightmare or starved until we are only skeletons? Our 7 cow moms are now giving us a total of about 15litres of milk per day for human consumption (the rest is drank by calves). We have more than we need as a family and staff. We are tired of eating hodzeko daily and have no more storage. My wife has ordered supplies from SA for us to start making some cheese 🧀 for now will let the calves have their way as we can’t keep accumulating milk.
