People often ask why our Prime Minister is the true Startup PM. For me, the answer goes back to January 2016. At the Startup India launch, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji quipped, “Why didn’t a chaiwala think of starting a hotel chain?” That single line was not just a remark, it was a mindset shift. It told millions of young Indians that ideas matter more than background. Over the next decade, that belief was backed by action. Startup India simplified regulations, enabled access to capital, and created confidence across the ecosystem. Someone in the USA joined a startup. Someone in Asia invested. Someone else chose to guide founders as a board member. It did not matter whether it was ours or hundreds of others. Those hundreds became lakhs of startups and millions of jobs. Within this ecosystem, PRISM grew into a global hospitality network across 35 plus countries. For me, coming from a small town in Odisha with nothing but a big dream, this journey has truly come full circle. Now in 2026, I feel the same wonder and responsibility I felt in 2016. The Prime Minister’s ability to remember people and stories, like recalling Suchi from Limeroad years later, is a reminder of genuine engagement. I have always been a firm advocate for women's inclusion in governance and decision-making. My commitment to gender equality is unwavering because I believe that a society thrives when women are actively involved in shaping policies and leading initiatives. It is imperative that we take legislative action to secure women's participation in politics. One of the key steps toward this goal is mandating that party delegate selections include women, this is not just about fairness; it is about ensuring that the voices of half our population are heard in leadership spaces. Beyond policy discussions, I have consistently highlighted the challenges women face within governmental structures. Many women in leadership positions hesitate to speak up, often out of fear or societal pressure. This must change. We need structural reforms, including the creation of special seats for women and the enforcement of laws that guarantee at least 35% representation in governance. We must break down entrenched gender stereotypes and cultural barriers that have kept women on the sidelines for too long. At the 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), global leaders—including UN Secretary-General António Guterres—reaffirmed the need for more women in leadership. The UN has made significant strides in achieving gender parity among senior leadership by expanding the search for qualified women, proving that when given the opportunity, women lead with excellence and impact. My participation in the Nigeria Women’s Day event at CSW69 is yet another step in my relentless advocacy for gender equality. The fight for inclusion is not just about women—it is about building a more just and prosperous society for all. I will continue to push for systemic change, and I encourage every Nigerian woman to take up space, raise her voice, and claim her rightful place in governance. I have always been a firm advocate for women's inclusion in governance and decision-making. My commitment to gender equality is unwavering because I believe that a society thrives when women are actively involved in shaping policies and leading initiatives. It is imperative that we take legislative action to secure women's participation in politics. One of the key steps toward this goal is mandating that party delegate selections include women, this is not just about fairness; it is about ensuring that the voices of half our population are heard in leadership spaces. Beyond policy discussions, I have consistently highlighted the challenges women face within governmental structures. Many women in leadership positions hesitate to speak up, often out of fear or societal pressure. This must change. We need structural reforms, including the creation of special seats for women and the enforcement of laws that guarantee at least 35% representation in governance. We must break down entrenched gender stereotypes and cultural barriers that have kept women on the sidelines for too long. At the 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69), global leaders—including UN Secretary-General António Guterres—reaffirmed the need for more women in leadership. The UN has made significant strides in achieving gender parity among senior leadership by expanding the search for qualified women, proving that when given the opportunity, women lead with excellence and impact. My participation in the Nigeria Women’s Day event at CSW69 is yet another step in my relentless advocacy for gender equality. The fight for inclusion is not just about women—it is about building a more just and prosperous society for all. I will continue to push for systemic change, and I encourage every Nigerian woman to take up space, raise her voice, and claim her rightful place in governance. 🇹🇿 I had the honour of moderating a session commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action at the Pan African Parliament. There has been much discussion and fake posts on my observation during the Tanzanian General Elections, on which I have already issued a statement in line with the AU report, which found the election to be far from free, fair, and credible. From the videos emerging, it is heartbreaking to see that the very women and girls we champion for are the ones most affected. We can’t just celebrate women in leadership, we must celebrate good leadership, good governance, democracy, and peace across Africa. My prayers are with Tanzania. #Beijing30 #PanAfricanParliament #Tanzania

The current thesis I have… thesis, passion, fascination, is to watch Indian startups kill it in today’s ecosystem. I hope that a lot of the companies we support will retell the Indian story, the real one, without any baggage from the past. It's our decade. WTFund is India’s premier non-dilutive grant fund for emerging entrepreneurs under 25. Through the 1st Cohort (C1/24), 9 startups with 15 young founders under the age of 25, were shortlisted and these are some of the coolest ones we discovered.. California First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom had the following pointed message for journalists in the room after most questions at the press conference were off-topic: "We find it incredulous that we have Planned Parenthood here and women are 51% of the population, and the majority of other questions -- all of these questions -- have really been on other issues. It's just fascinating we have this incredible Women's Caucus and incredible allies and you're not asking about it. This happens over and over and over and over again. We wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country. And you don't seem to care.
