Drones has changed the dynamics of warfare for 2nd Amendment Militia. It would have to be an insurgency as open combat would heavily favor drone mass-manufacturing capable belligerents. The insurgency in open and exposed terrain engagements would be severely vulnerable to drone weapons as countermeasures would need to be onsite, plentiful, and readily deployable which is antithetical to insurgent warfare (e.g. strike fast, element of surprise, melt back into the environment). Centers of gravity for the population would need to be population centers. As a consequence the drone offensive side would control rural areas and would capture food and material production, travel between population centers, etc. Lessons learned about insurgent tactics from Vietnam to Afghanistan would need to be studied and replicated in earnest to survive such an advantage. In other words, the boast of having 2nd Amendment Militia to actively stay “in-the-pocket” and engage a foreign military in open combat is over. Pro 2nd Amendment guy here.
