Oaxaca going to take a rare landfall Thursday from a major hurricane. If you watch the loop the rugged terrain of the Sierra Madre Mountains may be pushing the storm unexpectedly due west now. If you are wondering, loosely and generally, but not always, a crazy busy Pacific means a quiet and tranquil Atlantic. Which is the case now.

Here it is! We now have the 4 PM update on Major Hurricane Beryl from the U.S. National Hurricane Center. Is it just me, or did the projected path shift slightly northward, closer to Jamaica? 🤔 Either way, she is still moving towards the west-northwest, and she remains a high-end Category 4 hurricane, knocking on the door of Category 5.
