BREAKING: Hurricane Hunters just measured an almost unbelievable 889 mb pressure inside Hurricane Polo. If that reading is confirmed, Polo would become the second strongest hurricane ever recorded in the eastern Pacific, behind only Hurricane Patricia in 2015. What makes this even more remarkable is how quickly Polo got here. The storm has intensified at an extraordinary rate, being only a tropical storm 24 hours ago. Hurricane Isaias will be making landfall within the next 2 hours! The southern side of the eyewall has collapsed in recent radar imagery, but the northern side continues to look particularly nasty, likely producing wind gusts exceeding 100 mph from Pensacola to Santa Rosa Beach. Regardless of its appearance or category at landfall, this will be a dangerous system, with damaging winds, flooding, and tornadoes all possible well inland.
