@wesstreeting Yet we see executives of failing trust retire then go onto non executive directors roles in other trusts. Seems an odd model of governance.

During and after university Streeting has been a political creature with zero real world expertise. As Health Secretary he has learned nothing, it seems, of NHS service priorities, although he has, apparently, mastered the art of receiving coin from private health businesses! 😒

In the long term, lower rates of cigarette smoking, moving folks who do so to safer alternatives. Not short-term, but less lung cancer/COPD, Sweden has been doing it for long enough to show in population data. Vaping and THR save lives and expensive to treat preventable diseases.
