Today, I sit down with Wispr Flow Founder Tanay Kothari to ask the question: “What if we could get rid of keyboards?" Every sentence becomes a series of micro-interruptions: spell this, fix that, move this clause, check that comma. By contrast, speaking lets the idea come out whole. “Just tell me your gibberish,” he said, “and I’ll take care of it.” The power of what he’s built with Wispr Flow is that, within half a second, your ramble becomes polished prose, and the median user hits send without even rereading. The trust is immediate. And the behavioral effects are fascinating: sales teams sound more human, customer service agents sound warmer, “bad texters” suddenly become articulate communicators. The most intriguing point Tanay made is that voice will force us to rethink hardware itself. Our devices today were built for screens, keyboards, and apps. They assume computing is something you sit down to do, staring into a rectangle. But an AI-native world could leverage ambient listening, lightweight cognition, continuous context, and interaction that feels like talking to a second brain. If that’s true, then voice is the opening act of a much larger shift away from screen-bound computing toward a world where technology blends into the background and our attention returns to the foreground. A world where we walk through cities with our eyes up, not down. A world where AI augments cognition rather than fragments it. Tanay’s vision is radical only because we’ve lived inside the keyboard era for so long. His out-of-the-box thinking is allowing us to finally work beyond the box itself—the screen that mediates every digital interaction most of us have ever had. A little bit more on my Novel editor. One of the things I loath about word processors is that they are so unaware of how prose is structured. They treat the line as the most atomic unit of text. But writers think in words, sentences, and paragraphs. Never lines. The editor I am working on has navigation tools for word, sentence, paragraph, and scene. You can navigate and move content at each level. All from the keyboard with some intuitive hotkeys. A pointing device like trackpad or mouse engages the part of your brain that processes spatial input. That's not where you want to be when writing. It can take you out of your flow state. And it is physically quite slow because your hands must move away from the keyboard. So I'm rethinking editing with the keyboard. It's not hard to learn, and it makes editing faster. I haven't been using it long and already I'm barely reaching for the trackpad. Follow me to be the first to try this out. #WritingCommunity

We aren’t rich, we aren’t powerful but we have heart. And with that heart, we are doing everything we can, serving hot meals, handing out blankets, and reminding them that they are not forgotten.

To my fellow Irishmen and women, as a nation, we are at a crossroads, we are at the stage of no return. Our children aren't safe, they wont heat our elderly, they wont help our working people. They want to erase our culture, our flag and sell of our borders to the rich. They injected us 6 years ago with a weapon, they locked us in like animals, they take away our rights and freedoms when it suits them. Ireland is a special special nation on this planet, and we have children that us men have a duty to protect all costs. This isn't a war with another country this is a war from within our country, you can't reason with these people, they signed the deeds to Europe. They have laughed at us in our own nation like we are animals, so I believe it's time for us ANIMALS to form together as one and we take back our island from treasonous, child predators, and people that genuinely don't have a soul. We are dealing with evil and so many can see this. We get 20 thousand people together wr take back our land and hand it to the people for proper legal elections. 🇮🇪

ChatGPT is rapidly replacing Googling, and all the generative AI tools are replacing all the stock photos and videos, with tools like Runway enabling storytelling for everyone. And we won't take over Hollywood. We will surpass it in ways we can't even imagine right now. We'll be able to create worlds and stories beyond our wildest imagination. Generative AI is enabling creative people to go 1000x on what was possible before. At the core of everything we'll still need human creativity, and we have to understand that AI tools without it will be nothing.
