The dialogue process we intend to lead as youth and members of the political class is not a selfish pursuit. It is a moment of consensus building, a patriotic duty anchored in Articles 1 and 26 of our Constitution. It is about finding sustainable ways for we the people to invoke our sovereign power, as enshrined in Article 1; to hold both the police and political class accountable; and to safeguard the core tenets of our republic, especially the right to life guaranteed under Article 26. As a leader in the ODM Youth League, I shall remain accountable to the League and to Kenya at large. I will reach out to fellow young leaders and stakeholders across the country to establish the fundamentals that will guide this national engagement. It will not be easy, but we shall do it. We will be called names, but we shall remain undeterred and we will win. The long walk to freedom, through consensus building, begins. Join us and let’s walk together. Kenya shall win.
