According to Werner Herzog, during the filming of his debut movie, "Signs of Life" (1968) in Greece , there was a coup d’état in Athens and the new regime didn't like the tone of Herzog's script & the shooting was nearly upended. In what Herzog describes as a "Confrontation with the Greek Military", when the shooting permits of the movie was revoked, Herzog told a local Army officer that he would continue filming illegally saying, "I will not be unarmed tomorrow" and promised him that the first officer who touched him would be shot dead. It was a ruse, and it worked: soldiers hovered but did not interfere with the filming. ("The Ecstatic Truth", Daniel Zalewski, The New Yorker, 2006) P.S: On this day, 58 years ago, "Signs of Life" (1968) premiered in Munich, West Germany.

🦊 our company isn’t like this anymore but at that time…this is back in the day! back in the day. 🦊 back then, bighit was less structured and it was really hard 🦊 it was really hard and it was probably even harder for the hyungs and they’re incredible 🦊 but the practice room floor was filled with water, there was mold and mushrooms growing everywhere and when you entered the vocal room, the floor would be all moist 🦊 the water from the air conditioner would leak out and the vocal room would become all wet 🦊 we would practice at dawn a lot too

The "Kee Bird" fire May 21 1995: a former USAF B-29 [45-21768 – “Kee Bird”] is destroyed by a fire in Greenland, no victims. Plane had been abandoned since 1947 after a non-fatal accident. A team of aircraft restorers attempted to repair and fly it out of the location, but a fire broke out while it was still on the ground. The Restoration team´s efforts were the subject of a PBS Nova documentary, entitled “Frozen in Time”, and hence this footage exists, as they were filming what would be the aircraft´s engine startup. The fire was not the worst setback on this restoration: one of the project team´s engineers, Richard Allen 'Rick' Kriege, perished from illness during the restoration process. It was later determined that the conflagration began in the aircraft´s APU – Auxiliary Power Unit

We changed a bit of the choreography on the second day. When we had spare moments on the second day, we would practice. We used our limited break time to practice and make it a different show, so that the fans could feel awed. 🐰: I was going to say the same thing as P'Mi. 🦊: Really? 🐰: Yeah. 🦊: It was a pretty amazing shot. 🐰: Yeah, it was a moment that we didn't dance the same on both days. 🦊: And we thought that very morning like, why don't we make the shows not the same? 🐰: Yeah. And when we were doing the (photo) benefits, the fans might've seen us looking dazed. We were dazed, but inside we were thinking, what should we do? What should we do? 🦊: What should we do for the fans to be even more excited? 🐰: We were reviewing the moves in our head. 🎤: There was a comment just now saying, "You did amazing. The shows were not the same." 🦊: We were a bit anxious, bc we didn't have time to do a run through at all. We practiced in the room and then performed it on stage. Action movies, as they exist today, would not be the same without a mistake made by a special effects team in the 1960s in the samurai movie Sanjuro. While it was meant to be a powerful scene, the blood geyser effect went awry during filming. Tatsuya Nakadai was equipped with a hose beneath his costume, pressurized with 30 pounds to simulate bleeding. But during the duel scene, a connection in the hose failed, causing all the fake blood to burst out in one sudden, massive spurt instead of the intended gradual flow.
