We built a visual canvas for tracking changes and experimenting with claude code. Describe your change → auto-commit with git → view a preview of that change → drag and drop a new branch to keep experimenting. It's called Cascade and here's how it works...

and I got the idea when we found ourselves vibe designing: exploring different components, swapping colors, and continuously reverting to try again. Coding agents today are linear. But the act of creation is inherently non-linear. You're searching for what feels good.

Cascade is a desktop app that sits on top of your local codebase with three main services: → git integration for visualizing and creating commits and branches → claude code for applying changes + smart commit messages → a preview system that caches a build per commit

We wanted something that felt fluid. Every message you send zooms in on a new task node. Drag from any node to spawn a branch with a new edge color. Previews can be blown up full screen. Nodes can be moved around the canvas. It's your visual canvas.
