We cannot allow ambition to be reduced to a modular unit in a back garden. Young people in Ireland were raised to build lives of their own. Not to remain in their parents’ homes because the system has failed them. Owning a home was once a realistic goal. It... show more

I challenged Mícheál Martin to stop screwing it up for our young people. They are voting with their feet. They are in Perth and Toronto not in Ireland where we need them. They deserve the chance to build a life here in Ireland, affordable homes, access to well-paid jobs, a future worth staying for.

The number of young Canadians forced to live with their parents is out of control. More than a decade of Liberals has made it massively worse. Let’s cut red tape and building taxes across Canada, so our young people can afford to live in a home of their own:

I'm relieved that the Greens have come to their senses and decided to back Labor’s housing policies to help renters, and support 40,000 Australians into owning their own home. But because the Greens delayed the legislation for almost 12 months, 10,000 people who could be in their own home by now are not. It’s not good enough and the Greens need to be accountable for that.

The Nigerian government is sending people in Lagos back to their State of Origin. Let that sink in. They are dividing their own people, treating them as foreigners within their own country. This is not a policy of unity, it is a policy of exclusion. It is a testament to the deep-seated tribalism that has plagued Nigeria since independence. The Igbo, the Hausa, the Yoruba they cannot live together. They don’t trust each other, they don’t love each other. They cannot build a nation. This is why Nigeria will never be great, despite its immense potential. They have resources. They have the people. But they are divided by tribe, by religion, by region. They hate each other within their own country, and they refuse to confront this hatred. They would rather send people back to their "State of Origin" than build a nation where everyone belongs. This is not leadership, it is surrender. And until they confront this reality, Nigeria will remain a country of potential, not of progress. ✊🏾

Hodges: We forget the challenges that Russia has with their own demographics. They're having to grab people for the army that are not even Russians, because Russian people don't want to be a part of war. They cannot defeat a country that's defending their families. 1/

God almighty! Did anybody in government watch the box room video before putting it out? Did they think of the hurt they would cause to young people forced to live back with their parents? People in their 20s and 30s locked out of home ownership, rents out of control, lives on hold, emigrating in their thousands. I want to say to young people - Sinn Fein will keep fighting for you, to make things affordable and ensure you can build a future here in Ireland.

Lady in blue, "And homes. Let's be honest. Most of the time we're talking about flats" "We're not talking about houses where people can grow into" "I see families in these tiny little flats who feel so happy they own their own home but they haven't got room to enjoy their home" "Are we actually going to build houses for people to live in and enjoy. Are they going to be affordable?"

For the first time, I heard in the mainstream media the accurate and real reason for the resistance of the mullahs and IRGC in Iran: “They’re fighting for their existence. They know that if they if they lose this war, their biggest problem will not be American bombs from the air. Their biggest problem will be their own citizens, (they) will hanging them from lampposts in Tehran. You know, they’ve done so much damage to their own country and their own people for so long that there’s a lot of resentment built up there they can’t afford to show any weakness.” #IranWar‌

Essay 21 THE MIDDLE CLASS There was once a time when people could aspire for a better future for their children than the one they had. People were in control of their own human capital and could use it to raise their station in life.
