We continue to see extremely cold temperatures across Virginia. As temperatures drop, roads will get icy. Please continue to stay off the road as much as possible. Because you avoided travel during the storm, crews and emergency responders have had the space to do their jobs.

As Tropical Storm Lee continues to move slowly across the province, parts of Nova Scotia are experiencing wind gusts that can make conditions hazardous for our crews. When wind speeds are over 80km an hour, it isn’t safe for our crews to be up in the buckets and so we focus on assessing damage, responding to 911 calls, and restoring power from the ground where possible. In some parts of the province, we anticipate that these significant winds will continue for much of today. We do our best to give an estimate of when power will be restored. As we continue to assess damage across the province, we will update estimates. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on for the latest information. The safety of our customers and crews is our top priority. If you come across downed wires, please stay back and do not try to move them yourself.
