Working with state and local emergency responders, we will continue to provide assistance to those in the South and Southeast part of the state and ask that all Georgians join us in praying for their families. Stay safe as the storm continues to move through.

Praying with you? You agreed voting machines are hackable….which we all know….but you aren’t willing to join other states in paper ballots? I’ll pray for the folks in effected areas for sure, but I’ll not be praying with you unless you change your ways. Christ is your answer.

One of the biggest emergencies we must address is the terroristic threats being made against Stone Mountain! We must protect Stone Mountain at all cost.

Thank you for supporting Joe and me in our effort to arrest our political rivals. We couldn't subvert democracy without your looking the other way.

JUST IN: Los Angeles County declares a state of emergency in response to the ICE raids, will provide rent relief. The LA County Board of Supervisors made the move as the Trump admin continues to ramp up the raids. “The move allows the LA County Board of Supervisors to provide rent relief for tenants who have fallen behind as a result of the crackdown on immigrants,” the Associated Press reported. “A local state of emergency can also funnel state money for legal aid and other services.”

I just landed in Georgia where I will meet with families impacted by Hurricane Helene, as well as the first responders, volunteers, and state and local officials who are helping provide relief. Our nation stands with all those who have been affected by this storm.

We have been working around the clock to prepare for Hurricane Milton and to ensure that federal, state, and local resources are being coordinated in an efficient and effective way. We urge you to take this storm seriously. Please listen to your local officials, and if you are told to evacuate, please do so immediately. Do not wait until it is too late. Already, we have sent more than 1,000 federal personnel to be on the ground in Florida to assist with preparation for this hurricane, and we will continue to scale up those efforts. We will continue to do everything we can to protect the people who are in the path of this storm. Once the storm has passed, we will be there to help folks recover and rebuild as we are continuing to do for the communities in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and across the southeast who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene.

New Jersey Governor Governor Mikie Sherrill says the state is now in the thick of the storm, with heavy snow in the north and increasing ice moving northward through it. A state of emergency was declared to get more equipment on the roads, transit has been suspended for safety, and mutual aid power crews are already staged and responding. Road crews, troopers, and utility workers are working around the clock as impacts continue. Stay safe, New Jersey!

We continue to see extremely cold temperatures across Virginia. As temperatures drop, roads will get icy. Please continue to stay off the road as much as possible. Because you avoided travel during the storm, crews and emergency responders have had the space to do their jobs.

People continue to pack up their belongings and move to Washington state. We had the largest increase in the country in requests to form new businesses. And soon the world will be coming here for the biggest sporting event of all — the FIFA World Cup. Despite the historic challenge of the floods, and additional challenges we must confront, the state of our state remains strong.

I worshipped with my good people of Imo State at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, where we worshipped and prayed to God in thanksgiving for His abundant grace, love, and peace. As we look back with gratitude at the many ways God has blessed and sustained us as a State, I am reminded that His goodness to us is beyond measure. For this reason, I will continue to call on all of us to come together in unity and thanksgiving, acknowledging His faithfulness and mercy. God has indeed been magnanimous to Imo State, and we will continue to worship Him, trusting in His guidance, protection, and enduring grace. - Hope Uzodimma

On the day that marks the end of a month of sacrifice, it was fitting that we joined those who sacrifice to keep us safe at the COAS Sallah Luncheon for Troops in the Field of 2 Division Area of Responsibility in Igbeti, Olorunsogo LGA. As I said in my remarks, their welfare is our shared responsibility and we will continue to do all we can to support them to carry out their duties. May their sacrifices never be in vain and may Nigeria continue to find peace through their service to the nation.
