Yeah, sadly the remake still fails to capture the essence of Halo CE's lonely, ancient, forerunner architecture. I've included a comparison video. There's a reason the structure should be largely brutalist concrete monoliths. I'm not saying it's the end of the world... but little things like do add up to change how a game feels.

Final point on what the Halo CE remake is missing in Forerunner architecture. Look at the Silent Cartographer: it's an installation, but also a sort of cathedral. The music confirms this. There is room for shiny and metallic, but it's in places like the control room corridors.
