At the Global Sumud Flotilla launch in Barcelona today, Irish actor liam cunningham played a recording of a young Palestinian girl named Fatima, who sang the song she wanted played at her own funeral. “What sort of a world have we slid into? What sort of a human hole have we found ourselves in when children, beautiful angels like that of five or six years old, are making their own funeral arrangements?” Cunningham asked, explaining why he finds himself joining the Sumud flotilla. Fatima, he told the crowd, was killed in an Israeli strike just four days ago.

When we were preparing this year’s Easter greeting, we learned that right nearby, also on the grounds of St. Sophia of Kyiv, children of Ukraine’s defenders from Kyiv and the Kyiv region had gathered at the same time – children whose parents, sadly, were killed in this war. An excursion, an Easter egg-hunting quest, traditional spring and Easter songs, and workshops on making stained glass were organized for them by the Socially Responsible Business Platform “To the Children of Our Defenders,” which brings together entrepreneurs and the state to support children who have lost their parents because of the war. The participants of the platform are always close to the families of defenders – organizing trips, rest, activities, and education, creating important moments of warmth and care. So we joined this moment at St. Sophia and came to wish the children a Happy Easter. The smiles we were greeted with are priceless. We want and must do everything so that the children of those who gave the most precious thing for Ukraine’s security never lose their faith in the world. We invite businesses, entrepreneurs, and all caring people across different regions to join the “To the Children of Our Defenders” Platform, support its initiatives, and launch their own efforts to help the children of defenders. Not only on holidays – but every day, we are grateful to all who are fighting for Ukraine. And all our care is for their loved ones.

THE BEAUTIFUL & TALENTED! 😍❤️Some relationships are not defined by blood. They are defined by love, trust, memories… and a promise that silently lives on.😍 My dearest Vanshika came to meet me at my office today. I couldn’t be with her on her birthday on the 15th, though I had called and wished her. So today became our little birthday celebration. We spoke about books, films, her studies, dreams, and, as always, so many memories (of Satish) that make our conversations special. I couldn’t be with her on her birthday on the 15th, though I had called and wished her. So today became our little birthday celebration. We spoke about books, films, her studies, dreams, and, as always, so many memories (of Satish) that make our conversations special. Time simply flew by.🥹 Before she left, I wanted to give her something she would carry with her every single day. So I surprised her with a new phone. It wasn’t really about the gift. Celebrating our anniversary this year took on a much deeper meaning as we spent it at 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗮. While every milestone is a gift, being in a space that provides a "home away from home" for pediatric cancer patients and their families reminded us of what truly matters: strength, hope, and community. Having 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘆 there with us made the experience even more profound. Seeing the direct impact of support and the smiles it can bring to those facing such difficult battles was the greatest anniversary gift we could have asked for. It wasn’t just a celebration of our time together, but a reminder of the power of showing up for others. A Note to the Best Director in the whole wide world ! Uncle Femi!! @femiadebayosalami he directed 600 cast and crew for a scene and directed for over 20hours at a stretch!! Uncle Femi gets to set everyday before me myself for 2weeks , we start in the morning and ends by midnight everyday! this Man will be in his best energy from dawn till dawn !! we shot a very hectic scene at Idumota market the shoot lasted the whole day guesss who got to set before me again the following day!! Uncle Femi always bringing plenty Party food to set for everyone to eat asides the normal set food! My Director pampered me!! he made me enjoy film making ! Uncle Femi you are one of the most blessed souls i have ever met in my life . I can’t explain the politeness! A Mama Deola Wedding Story is thankful for you!! I Folagade Banks couldn’t have asked for a better director to handle this job! Guys A Mama Deola wedding Story is the best screen experience you will have this year !!
