Both the Democratic and Republican parties represent the billionaire class. Canada and Western European nations won healthcare through militant mass movements of workers and the emergence of new parties of the working class that posed a direct threat to the parties of the ruling class. The reason they tell you to vote is because the ruling class knows the people cannot vote their way out of a capitalist dictatorship when both parties are completely controlled by capital. The only way to change a capitalist regime like the United States that values profits and property more than human life is to disrupt and take back the one thing the system cares about: Capital. To do this the working class must organize a mass movement to seize the means of production and put the economy directly in the hands of the people, not the oligarchs. A better world that puts people over profits is possible but only if we come together and fight for it!

There is something worse than Trump’s two presidencies and that is learning nothing from them and allowing this vicious cycle to continue where we are ruled by 2 parties that serve billionaires and betray workers. The only path forward is to fight for a working class alternative.

Jeremy's ideas are always original My favorite from this one is "peak guy" and why the poaster is our new priestly class "I think the billionaire class has become subservient to the poasting class. It doesn't make sense that we spend so much time caring about what billionaires think about theology or health or topics unrelated to accruing a billion dollars. The reason we do is because these are the people that have ascended to the highest realm of piety in our value system. We've looked to them to provide us these answers and it has not been satisfying. Peak guy is I think we've had enough of the billionaire. The logical question is what is the next class, our next set of priests? I think it's the poaster. You can always look which class is subservient to the next to see who's next. I was at this thing with a bunch of billionaire investors and they were all fighting over who could sit next to tylercowen because he's the most interesting person there."
