I strongly disagree. Israel has a right to self-defence, and considering Palestine literally wants to wipe out Israel, clearing out Hamas and their owners in Iran is completely justified.

Seriously? Israel completely left Gaza in 2005 and look what they got. A terrorist entity embedded within civilian areas and tunnels. Where is the peace partner on the Palestinian side? Hamas started a war that Israel didn’t want.

You're not selling it. Palestinians and neighbouring countries all believe the amount of territory Israel is entitled to is 0 sq m, so Israelis don't get peace and security either way. Under those circumstances, why not take more land if you can?

Your support for the Islamofascists whose sole aim is the annihilation of the State of Israel is disappointing to say the least. Since when has the “Free Palestine” movement done anything which warrants them worthy of a state. Oct 7 brought this fact into stark clarity.

While we can hope for a more peaceful future with the establishment of a Palestinian state, Israel is already one and has been since 1948. Khan’s statement is not only false but also dishonest and dangerous. As the ICC’s prosecutor - and the holder of a distinguished legal career - one would hope he would know the difference between the terms ‘territory’ and ‘state,’ and what it implies legally speaking.

I welcome the announcements from France, UK and Canada recognizing a Palestinian state. Unfortunately, recognition without reconciliation is just theater. As a Palestinian, we're told to celebrate symbolic statehood declarations by countries thousands of miles away. But none of them control our future. The only state that can make Palestinian sovereignty real - the only state we should be trying to win over - is Israel. Real peace requires strategy. That means talking to Israelis - not the G7 or the UN. It means less energy spent on hollow gestures, and more invested in building trust, leverage, and alliances with the only state that can actually make two states a reality. Until we convince Israelis that a Palestinian state is in their interest - for their security, their future - nothing changes on the ground. Diplomatic missions across the world won't bring us peace. Conversations in Israeli neighborhoods just might.
