We don’t have a tax collection problem; we have a spending problem. The pro-growth policies of the Trump administration will get us out of the mess we inherited from the previous administration.

BRO JUST SAID WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM 😂😂 Days after the BBB was passed @elonmusk

So you raised the debt ceiling to $5 trillion?

Then why are we spending more?!

Scott Bessent nails it—Washington’s addiction to spending is the root cause, not revenue. The One Big Beautiful Bill proves growth-first policies work: $1.6T in cuts redirecting funds from globalist bloat to American productivity. Remember, the 2017 tax cuts increased revenue by $300B+ while corporate tax receipts hit 1.8% of GDP post-reform. The CBO’s $3.3T deficit fearmongering ignores dynamic gains—tariffs alone will generate $2.8T, and growth at 3% adds $4T in revenue. Biden’s admin spiked spending by 3% of GDP, creating the mess. Trump’s model—velocity over austerity—is already delivering wage hikes and investment surges. Audit the waste, fund the future. The numbers don’t lie—see the receipts and challenge the spin:

You actually have a loud mouthed tariff problem. If the #POTUS would just shut up, perhaps business owners would think twice about adding a little price increase because of inflationary expectations created by this administration. Then you wouldn't have to threaten the Federal Reserve, which has shepherded us through some very difficult circumstances.

Raises debt ceiling 5t Say we have a spending problem Lmao

Let’s announce a trade deal today to get the markets back to green!!!!

Since I was born every administration has "inherited a mess from the previous administration". The real crisis is one of accountability.

Well we just had to raise the debt ceiling, Q1 growth was below the biedn average and Q2 isn't looking much better. Some of that pro-growth policy would be good right about now.

Mr. Secretary, if we have a spending problem like you are saying, the OBBB bill doesn’t curtains the spending and address the issue.
