Elon Musk: It's got to be like Starship lands, you refill propellant and you just take off again. “You know, it's a terrible metaphor, but the important thing is that the cat gets skinned at the end of the day and then you arrive at some solution that enables full reusability. That's the key. Can you land the rocket and without any kind of laborious inspection, maybe you spend half an hour just visually scanning the tiles, but you can't go and test every tile and make sure the gaps are perfect and do 40,000 tile tests. It's got to be like it lands, you refill propellant, unless a whole bunch of tiles fell off, you just take off again. Rapid reusability is the key. We need to make the tiles not fall off because if a bunch of tiles are falling off, then we're just not gonna have a rapid reusability situation, [a refly] within an hour of landing type of thing.” From: Interview with Everyday Astronaut, May 27, 2025

Tonight we treated ourselves to one of the best Uyghur restaurants in Xinjiang: an institution in Kashgar called "Mihmn Lirim" which is genuinely extraordinary, look at their interior design and their menu (which I filmed in full) 👇 We got ourselves a delicious roast fish with a Xinjiang spice mix, some pigeon noodles (pigeon meat is very popular in Xinjiang), some baozis and veggies 😊

🗣️ "We're in a difficult situation. We're aware of that. Everybody at the football club has got to stick together, got to keep working, and got to keep trying to find a way that we can get some traction and get some results." Andy Parkinson's full post-match interview: #TRFC #SWA

Well I can say it now so here goes: After the previous Digsite team left, a few of us tried for a good year or so to get it back up and running... and we did! But due to today's events, it is done. Please have a look at some of the content I was working on

The cathedral roof in my living room is taking a beating, pieces of roof landing on the floor and some water coming in. Wind blowing in thru the CLOSED windows enough to raise the curtains and it blew the plywood off one window we had nailed it down to.

Common feedback I got from the last build of East of Eden is that the shooting and hit registry feels sluggish and unresponsive, and that just came down to the limitations of unreal's projectile system So I made my own custom hitscan system with gravity, travel time, arcs, penetration depth, reflection, ricochet, subsonic shield bypass, homing, all working faster, more accurately, more efficiently and more reliably

JUST IN: Kamala Harris has no clue what to say after her teleprompter appears to stop working, keeps repeating herself. The Vice President kept repeating “32 days.” “Remember his number 32 today? We got 32 days until the election.” “So 32 days… 32 days… Okay. We got some business to do. We got some business to do… All right. 32 days… and we know we will do it, and, and this is gonna be a very tight race until the very end.” “This is gonna be a very tight race until the very end. We are the underdog and we know we have some hard work ahead.”

Got all our building exterior location signs done for Beast York this week. Here's a preview of some of em. This coming week we fill them full of interior props. Next we add community billboards and art, then the traffic and pedestrian systems. 🎮👀

to elaborate, what surprised me is that we can just upload a melody, some lyrics to match, and it... just works? for example: → uploaded Tetris melody → wrote some crappy lyrics → 15s later, I got this it fits perfectly, matching notes to syllables! I had no idea this worked

Carney: The President called me yesterday. We had a long discussion with him and, at times, some of his senior officials, Secretary Hegseth and his commander-in-chief, on a range of issues, some related to NATO, some related to the situation in Iran and the broader Middle East.

Xaero's World Map and FTB Chunks also working! FTB and Journeymap worked automatically but Xaero's took some special code to get mostly working. So most things should just work out of the box, but anything else we find I can look into supporting.

We pulled this off in just about two weeks, using a mix of tools like After Effects, TouchDesigner, Cavalry, and Blender. I’ll share the parts I worked on and some bts stuff later.
