Keep up the good work Sir. Dumpsites are harmful not just for the neighbourhood but for the scavengers/cartels themselves esp if there is industrial waste.

Great job, however what options have you provided. There is also a lot of dumping in the estates largely due to the mushrooming of kiosks.

Well done Hon Mosira👏, it's been 15 years or more that people have been using this place for dumping, has I am neighbour nearby, the pollution and hazard is beyond. I have to close my windows so my children don't get sick. I thank nairobi County for there efforts.

We are putting all hawkers on notice, especially those operating within the CBD and irresponsibly dumping waste particularly tea and coffee hawkers. Their careless disposal of garbage is blocking our stormwater drainage systems, which is a major cause of flooding in the city whenever it rains. Developers and all residents are reminded to strictly follow the law and avoid encroaching on drainage channels. We are also warning those who have encroached along riverbanks and riparian zones move away immediately before you are swept away by the floods. We shall move in and demolish all illegal structures along riparian areas. These zones are not meant for settlement or construction and must be protected. HAWKERS IMPUNITY IN EASTLEIGH!. This young man, who was beaten up as though he were a thief, had only requested the Jam Street hawkers who have turned the road into an open market to allow him to pass so that he could attend to an emergency at home. Instead of letting him through, they completely blocked his way. When he stepped out of his car to reason with them, they turned on him and beat him until he ended up in the ICU. This is the height of impunity hawkers who are clearly in the wrong still believe they have the right to attack innocent people who also have the right to use the road. For how long will people continue to suffer in the name of earning a living? As a government, we cannot remain silent and watch people behave as if there are no rules and regulations governing our county. The law is very clear regarding hawking, illegal dumping after business, and blocking drainage systems. Such lawlessness will not be tolerated.
