Paintings were densely hung from floor to ceiling, and these crowded, noisy events attracted thousands of visitors who came for both the spectacle and the art. 🎨 In #TateBritain’s free display, ‘The Exhibition Age,’ artworks are hung high and low, just as they were back then. ✨

Meet Mikei Hall, our Senior Art Handler at Tate! 📦 We caught up with Mikei and asked him about his work on Alvaro Barrington’s current Tate Britain installation, GRACE. Barrington’s work draws inspiration from personal memories, spanning time and place – from the sound of a thunderstorm pounding on the corrugated tin roof of his grandmother’s Caribbean home, to the vibrant energy of Carnival.
