Downtown recovery is much simpler. Arrest the anti-social drug dealers and users. Deport any not here legally . Open Market St. to vehicle traffic. Then, residents and visitors start to return. Small businesses open in shuttered storefronts. Organic revival.

More offices and retail a sign of recovery in a city where vast quantities of office space are idle, the downtown mall is empty and virtually every major store packed up and left? 60% hotel occupancy so let’s build a hotel. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

In summary, vision started 1-9 years ago will be 41-stories and one of the largest in SF's financial district in 20-30 years boosting tax revenue by $14M/year. A sad reflection on how badly managed SF has been for decades.

It provides long-term financial incentives to turn vacant and underused buildings into thousands of new homes. This is a major step in driving downtown San Francisco’s comeback and transforming it into a 24/7 neighborhood where people can live, work, play, and learn. This new RESET Center marks a fundamental change: if you do drugs on our streets, you will be arrested. And instead of sending you back out in crisis, we will give you a chance to stabilize and enter recovery. This is about enforcing the law, getting people off the streets, and connecting them to treatment—while getting officers back on patrol and restoring safety and order for our neighborhoods.
