We just killed Monid ourselves. Monid is now open source. The OpenRouter for agent tools. Your agents can now: > discover, run, and pay for tools at runtime > one connection to 2,000 APIs: SEO, leads, social media, search, ecommerce, stocks, video/image/music/3D gen, private company data > pay per... show more

Repo Here:

Monid just turned itself into the infrastructure agents actually need.

We want Monid to be the layer agents can actually build on.

Sending you a DM now

lol that’s great

haha glad you like it

@feiyou_guo killing killing killing

gave it a star!

Thanks for supporting and contributing to the community!

why'd you choose to open source?

We open-sourced the framework so anyone can become a provider or even build their own router on top of it. The hard part isn’t the framework itself, it’s maintaining reliable providers and growing usage. That’s our moat, so open source actually helps us bring more people into the API marketplace.

Open router for agent tools is a big claim. Will check it out.

Curious to hear your take after you try it.

I shall try it but rn going to get a massage. Feedback will be given tomorrow. You had me at MIT license.

crazy

Congrats!

Thx

Why??

We open-sourced the framework so anyone can add providers or build their own router. The real work is keeping providers reliable and growing usage, so open source actually strengthens the marketplace.

my man

The killing continues

still a few things left to kill 😈

very fair Monid killing itself too

had to keep it fair

turning Monid open source is bold, but I hope it retains strong user support

Welcome to the club! Happy to add the tool to and extend the network of open source sovereign AI.

have a look at your DMs.

epic

haha thanks!!

An OpenRouter-style layer for tools is a meaningful primitive for agent infrastructure. Runtime discovery plus pay-per-call access could let teams keep the control plane stable while the tool catalog and economics evolve underneath.

Nice

How are permissions handled when the agent picks a new tool by itself? that's the part that scares me with 2,000 APIs

lol so good

runtime tool choice still needs a budget boundary or discovery becomes its own failure mode

meanwhile my agent speaks dothraki

@yoheinakajima Why deno and not bun?

You killed the closed version and shipped the catalog. Curious whether Monid itself would score well as an agent-facing product, not just a tool router. Open to talking about this @Glintbase
