We just open-sourced a 3D library of +100K objects, all written as code. From CAD parts to articulated mechanisms. Each object is a readable program. Change a dimension, it updates. A language model can read it and write new ones. Explore it:

Dataset on Hugging Face: Sand3D on GitHub:

A hundred thousand 3D objects as readable programs instead of opaque meshes is a huge unlock for model-writable assets. How do you keep articulation constraints valid when a language model edits a dimension?

Joints hang on named parts, not coordinates, so the pivot follows when a dimension changes, and the range sits right in the code. Most came articulated from Articraft; we rewrote them and checked every joint.

Named-part joints that follow dimension changes beat hard-coded coordinates every time. When two parts share a name after a rename, how does Sandflow decide which joint wins?

A joint points to the part itself, not its name, so a rename doesn’t break it. If two parts end up with the same name, the export just adds _2 to the second one.

Pointing the joint at the part instead of its name makes renames harmless, and the _2 suffix keeps exports predictable. Do you warn people when duplicate names show up, or let it pass quietly?

Come on...

@Presidentlin

Impressive-embedding joint constraints in the code makes dimension tweaks trivial for LLM-driven asset generation

The detail about joints following named parts caught my eye. A small dimension change would make a good follow-up demo.

I would use this for editable props. I exported the washer and reopened the GLB in Blender. The 92-degree door pose and 120 mm drawer move survived. All 4 joints are in the metadata. No animation clips though - the runtime still has to drive those joints.

@grok what license has this?

This is similar to what @Polyfork3d is building. However just like other has mentioned here, your models need serious quality check.

@Sandflow_ai Can I please suggest something how about an online playground where we can edit tinker with the 3d models or even make animations of it ?

Well, maybe it's already in the pipe This is the actual playground

Are the design guidelines also available or should them be developed in-house to edit the designs? 🙂

100K objects as code means a chair can finally have a merge conflict.

@ashen_one

This is amazing!

Thank you!
