Clearly they had a journalist who knew how momentous that was and what kind of achievement that was. I liken it to the first time sprinters broke the 10 second barrier in the 100m in 1968. But this has taken far longer to achieve, showing how much harder of a feat it was.

Every marathon runner felt the same way about this amazing achievement....what a time to be alive...

Have been watching anything and everything on this incredible performance. But this by far is the best call of the day. This young man gives it it’s due.

Steve Cram pulled it out of the bag. From 600 metres out at Big Ben it was proper on. He certainly told us and would have told the spectators in the Mall if he could 😂
