Finnish President Stubb: Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for almost four years. Its actions are illegal and immoral. We are closer to peace than ever during the war, but at the same time we cannot be sure whether Russia is ready for peace. Peace is most often a compromise, and we must prepare for the fact that all parts of a peace agreement will likely not meet our sense of justice. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are preserved. Ukraine is part of a free and democratic Europe now and in the future. We will continue to support Ukraine, we will not tire, and together with our allies we will ensure that Russia will never again attack its neighbor.

First, we urgently need a ceasefire and peace❗️Then we must define Ukraine - its borders, its population. As of right now, we do not even know what or where Ukraine is ‼️ Finally, once peace and clarity have been restored, we can make lasting agreements with Russia and lay the foundations for a strategic partnership with Ukraine - one that protects our sovereignty, while securing Europe’s future.
