They remember what was done to them. But look at us. We are the only community that has been persecuted and enslaved for the longest time in history. Our culture was broken, our civilization was twisted, and our rights were snatched away for centuries. Yet, today’s generation doesn't even know the depth of what we survived. It’s time to stop being silent. It’s time to wake up and remember who we are!

For Jeremy Hunt to limit his observations about immigration to platitudes about taking in the “best and brightest” from around the world, ignoring the enormous issues of safety, integration of migrants and community relations, is completely inadequate. Immigration remains in the hundreds of thousands every year. Meanwhile the concerns about multiculturalism remain completely unaddressed. When will we finally drop this stuff and tackle the issues raised by immigration head on?
