🚨 LVMPD Arrests Violent Crime Suspect After High-Speed Pursuit 🚨 Earlier this morning, a murder occurred in North Las Vegas. Just 30 minutes later, LVMPD officers responded to a crash near Spring Mountain and I-15. While investigating that crash, officers were approached by a citizen who reported they had just been carjacked. Through quick investigative work, our officers determined the vehicle involved in the crash was also connected to the earlier homicide. The suspect from the murder was now also a suspect in the carjacking. Once we obtained the license plate of the carjacked vehicle, our officers and our Real-Time Crime Center tracked the suspect driving around our Downtown Area Command. Officers located the vehicle and a pursuit was initiated. The chase continued along the Boulder Highway corridor, during which the suspect carjacked a second victim at a fast-food drive-thru. Our LVMPD Air Unit maintained visual contact as the suspect reached speeds of over 105 mph. Moments later, the suspect crashed into a bus stop near Boulder Hwy & Tropicana—critically injuring one person waiting there. The suspect fled again after a third carjacking, but our officers were able to safely end the pursuit using a PIT maneuver near Sahara & Boulder Hwy. The suspect is now in custody. In total: 🔹 3 carjackings 🔹 1 homicide 🔹 1 person critically injured We commend our officers for their swift actions and teamwork to bring this suspect into custody.

Detectives Seek to Identify Armed, Masked Person in Southwest Aurora #APDAlert Late Friday night, June 14, at about 11:45 p.m., two incidents occurred within minutes of each other in a neighborhood near S. Peoria St. and S. Parker Rd. Detectives are actively investigating these incidents and need the community's help to identify this person. Please read the incident descriptions below, watch the surveillance footage, and then submit any tips through MetroDenverCrimeStoppers. In one of the instances, a person dressed in all black with a full-faced white mask started knocking on the front door. The homeowner opened the door and was met by this masked person. The homeowner quickly closed and locked the door before the suspect could get inside. Thankfully, the homeowner was not injured. The other incident, captured on surveillance footage, shows the same suspect driving in front of the house in a dark-colored SUV. They then walk from around the corner dressed in all black and wearing a white mask. The suspect used a handgun to bang on the front door, but the homeowner never answered. A few things to notice in the video include the unique footwear of the suspect, the dark vehicle that pulls up along the street, and possibly a necklace or lanyard in view around the suspect's neck. On November 23rd, at about 5:30am, the man in this video entered into an apartment. Problem is, it wasn't his apartment. Even more problematic was that he stole something from the apartment. The victim said the door used by the suspect is a secondary door--one they don't often use, and they had no idea it was unlocked. The unknown suspect walked in, uninvited of course, then walked back out with a bottle of Svedka vodka and a bottle of Florida's Natural Orange Juice. That's right, this burglar stole the ingredients to make a screwdriver and left. Detectives say he tried to open the door of the apartment across the hallway, but it was locked, and he left. On November 23rd, at about 5:30am, the man in this video entered into an apartment. Problem is, it wasn't his apartment. Even more problematic was that he stole something from the apartment. The victim said the door used by the suspect is a secondary door--one they don't often use, and they had no idea it was unlocked. The unknown suspect walked in, uninvited of course, then walked back out with a bottle of Svedka vodka and a bottle of Florida's Natural Orange Juice. That's right, this burglar stole the ingredients to make a screwdriver and left. Detectives say he tried to open the door of the apartment across the hallway, but it was locked, and he left.
