It was Widdecombe’s and Farage’s Brexit that caused the increase in asylum seekers arriving by boat. Prior to Brexit, EU law allowed the return of asylum seekers to the first safe EU country they arrived in. The arsonists are now trying to cast themselves as the firefighters..

The policy needs to be more nuanced. Essential workers allowed in but on their own merit and no dependants.
