We’ve spent the past week disconnecting illegal electricity connections in Pretoria West. We found this property where an illegal construction of dozens of residential rooms is underway. This building isn’t approved by the city for commercial use and is designated for single household occupancy. The man responsible for this project has previously been flagged by the municipality. An unsafe building he built on the adjacent property was demolished after the city secured a court order. Our building inspectors will yet again have to fine him and stop any further construction. City of Tshwane

Thulusdhoo is a project currently under development, showcasing the exceptional design and planning skills of STELCO employees who fully designed the building. The construction of this facility, from conception to execution, is being carried out entirely by STELCO employees. I applaud the dedication and commitment of our employees for their remarkable efforts in making this project a reality.

According to Delhi Police, there are no visible signs of injury on the bodies, and preliminary investigation suggests it is a case of suicide. DCP Outer District Sachin Sharma says, "We received a call that some people might have died in a car here. When we arrived, we found a total of three people dead. They have been identified. There are two men and one woman. Nothing suspicious has been found so far."

This morning, we convened our weekly Reclaim Our City by-law operation a few metres from our Tshwane House headquarters. Our first stop was the inspection of a privately owned building zoned for residential purposes. Instead we found over 10 salons operating inside the property. In addition,the building is dilapidated and isn’t fit for occupancy. We will be condemning this property. City of Tshwane

After a series of meetings with McCormick Property Development (a SA company), which included a request made to them to redesign the Egodini vendors bays, we are pleased to report that substantial progress has been made and the project is now underway again. The redesign was to ensure that the Egodini vendors market will be fully roofed so as to provide protection to vendors, their customers and their wares. Egodini is a critical component of The City of Bulawayo ‘s need to decongest areas in the center of our City (including 5th Avenue) and the project has been bogged down. I am grateful for the new energy which has been injected by McCormick and now hopeful that this long outstanding project may now be completed.
