Despite being one of the most iconic and intimidating villains in cinematic history, seeing Vader mercilessly take out someone without even igniting his lightsaber is easily one of the darkest moments I’ve ever seen in a Star Wars project. We’d never seen this character quite this angry before, and this scene is as chilling to watch as it is just outright horrifying.

Watching Obi-Wan and Darth Vader have a brief interaction following the events of the Prequel Trilogy was so incredibly profound, and will never not give me full body chills. Miss this series so much, was truly everything that I wanted it to be and more.

Obi-Wan and Asajj Ventress’ lightsaber duel with Darth Maul and Savage Opress seriously has to be one of the most overlooked lightsaber duels to come from any Star Wars project. So much history between all of these characters quite literally converging in the most claustrophobic space imaginable. Such an amazing finale for Season 4 of The Clone Wars. Also really love how they all are using red lightsabers for a brief moment!

This scene from the Obi-Wan Kenobi series where a former 501st Clone Trooper begs Obi-Wan on a street for a few credits is honestly one of the most heartbreaking scenes from any recent Star Wars project. The fact that Obi-Wan still gave him credits just shows that The Jedi genuinely cared about The Clones more than Palpatine ever did. Deeply sad to watch.

Honestly was terrifying watching a rusty and unfocused Obi-Wan face off once again against Darth Vader, this time fueled even more by personal anger and an intense hatred. I really love how the last time that Anakin and Obi-Wan have a lightsaber duel with Dooku, they also discover that he was the man named Tyranus that recruited Jango Fett to be cloned The Republic’s army. Not only is this confrontation the closest they’ve all been in terms of skill, but it also just goes to show how deeply manipulated both sides of The Clone Wars were. Brilliant foreshadowing for the events of Revenge of the Sith.

One of the most fascinating elements of revisiting Geonosis for a second battle in The Clone Wars, IMO, is seeing just how prepared the Geonosians were for another potential confrontation. Whereas The Republic dominated the battlefield with their surprise invasion at the end of Attack of the Clones, here they aren’t so lucky. They’re being fired at before they even have a chance to land on the surface, and even Obi-Wan and his battalion barely make it out of this episode alive. Such an intense sequence.

One of the smartest details from the Revenge of the Sith novelisation is how Obi-Wan and Anakin deceive Count Dooku. Knowing they had failed on Geonosis, they open the duel with basic attacks from Ataru and Shien, forms that Dooku’s Makashi easily dismantles. This convinces Dooku that he’s facing the same Jedi he defeated three years earlier. Then they switch. Obi-Wan returns to his impenetrable Soresu, while Anakin unleashes the refined Djem So he mastered during the Clone Wars. Dooku suddenly realizes the opening exchange was a ruse and that Anakin had surpassed power levels he thought were possible.

Still think it’s awesome that Cartoon Network promoted Season Two of The Clone Wars in 2009 by having Cad Bane and other Bounty Hunters hijack what appeared as otherwise regular commercials/promos. Such a cool idea that only made the hype for this season even bigger.
