This is happening despite the intervention of the Hon'ble Union @AmitShah Ji. On one hand, you say you want Kashmir, but on the other, you show hostility toward Kashmiris. You want the land, but not its people. When the unfortunate incident in Pahalgam happened, we in Kashmir condemned it unequivocally. We held demonstrations, demanded the arrest of the perpetrators, and called for the harshest punishment. That’s the standard we uphold of justice, accountability, and national unity. But why are we, the people of Kashmir, constantly made to face repercussions and collective punishment for crimes we did not commit? Why are innocent Kashmiri traders; who contribute to the local economy and live peacefully being beaten, harassed, and evicted? Targeting Kashmiris is not just immoral and unconstitutional; it is dangerous. It alienates citizens and weakens national integration. And most worryingly, it plays right into the hands of our enemies, like Pakistan, who seek to deepen the divide and exploit such internal fault lines. Kashmiris are not second-class citizens. We are as much Indian as anyone else and we deserve dignity, protection, and peace. 2/n @narendramodi @AmitShahOffice @RahulGandhi @vidyarthee

We have received deeply disturbing and chilling reports from Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, where a Kashmiri shawl seller Bilal Ahmad was brutally assaulted by a group of Bajrang Dal workers led by Ankur Singh. He is not a newcomer. He has been selling shawls in Udham Singh Nagar for the past 9–10 years, living peacefully within the community. Despite this, he was threatened, asked to vacate the area and leave the state immediately, his stock was looted, and he was even threatened with death. We urge the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji, to immediately intervene, put an end to this reign of terror, and ensure the prompt arrest of the culprits. We also request the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah Sahab, to urgently take up the matter with his counterpart in Uttarakhand and ensure protection for Kashmiri traders. We further appeal to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Amit Shah Ji, for his personal intervention in this grave matter. Kashmiris are not outsiders in India. We are equal citizens and an integral part of this country, entitled to the same rights, freedoms, and protections as any other Indian under the Constitution. Targeting innocent Kashmiri traders and forcing them out of cities only deepens alienation and mistrust. This is precisely what our hostile neighbour seeks, to sow division and weaken our social fabric. By harassing Kashmiris, we are inadvertently playing into their hands and undermining national unity. We urge Uttarakhand government to take immediate and decisive action by directing the authorities to register an FIR and book the right-wing elements involved under the relevant provisions of law. Such acts of violence, intimidation, and communal hatred must not go unchecked. Strict and exemplary action will send a strong message that communal bigotry has no place in a progressive, inclusive, and democratic society. Nothing will do more damage to the idea of India in Kashmir than incidents like these. The rule of law must prevail. India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity. Any assault on that spirit is an assault on the nation itself. Uttarakhand Police गृहमंत्री कार्यालय, HMO India Udham Singh Nagar Police Uttarakhand Arfa Khanum Sherwani Preeti Choudhry Kaushal K. Around 1,300 Kashmiri students are currently studying in Iran and are now stranded amid the escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. The situation has left them traumatized, terrified, and extremely vulnerable. Parents are deeply distressed and anxious about the safety and well-being of their children. Many students are living under constant psychological stress and insecurity. They have reported hearing airstrike sirens, experiencing tremors, and witnessing heightened military activity in their areas. Some are even residing in cities where airstrikes have already taken place. The repeated attacks and worsening crisis have left the students frightened and helpless. Many of them have shared their fear, saying, "We are very scared. Our parents back home are extremely worried." Every passing minute without information from authorities is agonizing for these families. Parents have pointed out that students from several other countries have already been evacuated, while Indian students continue to wait anxiously. One parent said, "People from many countries have left, but our children remain. Nobody is asking about us. We feel abandoned." I earnestly request the Hon’ble External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to take urgent steps to relocate the students to safer areas within Iran and initiate immediate evacuation efforts. This will provide much-needed relief and assurance to the distressed families back home. Rahul Gandhi Kaushal K. Yet another incident; the ninth such case this year of harassment and intimidation of Kashmiri shawl sellers has been reported today from Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, where local goons allegedly threatened traders attempting to earn an honest livelihood. This incident reflects a deeply alarming and recurring pattern of targeted harassment, intimidation, and insecurity faced by Kashmiri shawl sellers across the state. Despite possessing valid documents and having undergone proper verification by the authorities, these traders are being unlawfully barred from carrying out their business, raising serious concerns about arbitrariness and discrimination. These shawl sellers, who have contributed immensely to the local economy over the years and have become an integral part of the social and cultural fabric of the region, are now being pushed into an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. We appeal to the Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Ji to ensure the prompt identification and arrest of all those responsible and to send a clear, firm, and unequivocal message that lawlessness, communal intimidation, and vigilante behaviour will not be tolerated in the state. The persistent inaction by the state authorities points to a worrying breakdown of law and order. The absence of swift and visible action against fringe elements has emboldened such actors to operate with impunity, turning daily livelihood into a source of fear for Kashmiri traders. The rule of law must prevail, and the safety, dignity, and constitutional rights of Kashmiri citizens must be guaranteed without exception. Dozens of Kashmiri shawl sellers, who have been working in Himachal Pradesh for over 25- 30 years, are now being harassed, assaulted, and threatened to leave the state in the Ghumarwin area of Bilaspur district by right-wing groups. This is the 17th such incident occurred in Himachal Pradesh this year. They have been threatened and told to leave the state, not allowed to sell their shawls, their belongings have been vandalised, and even their mobile phones were smashed when they tried to record these incidents. Despite having proper verification and valid documents, they are being prevented from carrying out their business, and their landlords are being pressured to evict them. These shawl sellers have contributed immensely to the local economy and have become an integral part of the social fabric over the decades. Yet today, they are facing intimidation, insecurity, and fear. This reflects a dangerous and disturbing pattern of targeting Kashmiri traders. Targeted harassment and violence against Kashmiris show no signs of ending. It is deeply saddening that some people want Kashmir, but not Kashmiris. Nothing will damage the idea of India in Kashmir more than such incidents. We urge the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi Ji; and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Ji, to intervene immediately. This atmosphere of hatred and threats has the potential to destroy livelihoods built over generations. We further urge the HCM, to take immediate and decisive action by directing the authorities to register cases against the fringe and right-wing elements involved under the relevant provisions of law. Strict action will send a strong message that communal bigotry has no place in a progressive and inclusive society. We appeal to the HM Amit Shah Ji, to put an end to this growing reign of terror against Kashmiri traders and ensure the prompt identification and arrest of those responsible, so that a clear deterrent is set. The rule of law must prevail, and the safety, dignity, and right to livelihood of Kashmiri shawl sellers must be protected without delay. Strongly condemn the brutal mob assault on Jammu & Kashmir student Aftaab Hussain, of Dr. Harisingh Gour University (DHSGSU), by Bajrang Dal, VHP & Hindu Jagran Manch in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Shockingly, instead of being protected, he was taken into police custody despite a clean academic record and no unlawful background. Request. Madhya Pradesh Police to ensure his immediate release, safety, medical care, and strict action against the culprits. It is the constitutional duty of the state to protect students, not criminalise victims. Navratri is a sacred festival of devotion and inclusivity, symbolising the victory of good over evil. Its sanctity must be respected. Yet fringe and right-wing groups are weaponising religion to vilify Kashmiri Muslim students and communalise Garba; a cultural celebration meant to unite, not divide. False, defamatory, and concocted remarks have been made against Aftaab by these right wing elements, portraying him with malicious intent without any evidence. The reality is that he had been invited to the event by his friends. Targeted violence against Kashmiri youth is unacceptable, unconstitutional, and a grave threat to India’s unity and social harmony. Festivals like Garba embody India’s diversity, bringing people together beyond religion, caste, or region. By injecting hate and fear, organisations like Bajrang Dal, VHP, and Hindu Jagran Manch are not protecting tradition; they are poisoning it for political mileage. Such a dangerous precedent will only instil fear among Kashmiri youth who are engaging positively with local culture. This alarming trend must be rejected in the strongest possible terms. The Himachal Pradesh government has taken note of the communal harassment of two Kashmiri shawl sellers in Surjanpur Village, in Kangra District. The woman involved has been detained and is currently being questioned by the authorities. She has expressed deep regret for her actions and issued a formal apology. While the police were fully prepared to file an FIR, the victims (Kashmiri Shawl Sellers), in a remarkable gesture of forgiveness, has chosen to pardon her and requested the police not to proceed with lodging the FIR. May better sense prevail, and may peace and harmony continue to guide our paths forward. Have received another chilling video. A Kashmiri shawl seller Jehangir Ahmad was mercilessly thrashed by fringe elements in Dehra, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh in yet another shocking incident of harassment. He has sustained fractures and multiple injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Himachal Pradesh. This is the 16th case this year in HP involving the targeting of Kashmiri shawl sellers. The victim was threatened and told to leave the state, not allowed to sell his shawls, his belongings were vandalised, and his mobile phone was smashed when he tried to record the incident. He has been selling shawls in the area for the past 15 years and is not a newcomer. He has lived peacefully within the local community and earned his livelihood with dignity. Despite this, he was abused, threatened with death, and asked to vacate the area immediately. He was also warned that Kashmiris would not be allowed to work there. We urge the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Ji, to take immediate and decisive action by directing the authorities to register a case against the fringe and right-wing elements involved under the relevant provisions of law. Such behaviour must not go unchecked. Strict action will send a strong message that communal bigotry has no place in a progressive and inclusive society. We urged CM to put an end to this growing reign of terror against Kashmiri traders and ensure the prompt identification and arrest of those responsible, so that a clear deterrent is set. Three separate incidents of harassment against Kashmiri shawl and walnut sellers have occurred within a span of just 24 hours; one in Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), another in Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), and a third in Ludhiana (Punjab). In Uttarkashi, a local right-wing activist named Rakesh levelled unsubstantiated allegations against Kashmiri street vendors, accusing them of operating without police verification. He made several inflammatory claims, demanding compulsory police checks for all Kashmiri vendors and even insinuating; without any evidence whatsoever; that they could be involved in activities beyond selling shawls, including arms-related suspicions. Such irresponsible rhetoric fuels mistrust, deepens prejudice, and puts the lives and livelihoods of ordinary workers; who have been living and working peacefully for years at grave risk. In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, two Kashmiri youths were confronted by members of Bajrang Dal; subsequently, the police detained them, interrogated them, and seized their Aadhaar cards, identity documents, and mobile phones for verification. This incident raises serious concerns about rampant vigilantism, profiling of minorities, and the troubling trend of right wing groups taking on law-enforcement roles. In Ludhiana, Punjab, a labourer from Kulgam, Kashmir, was allegedly assaulted after he reported that several boxes of walnuts he was transporting had gone missing. Instead of receiving help, he was met with violence. These incidents reflect a deeply troubling pattern of dehumanisation and targeted harassment. We urge the Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, and Punjab Bhagwant Mann to take immediate and decisive action. They must ensure the safety and dignity of Kashmiri workers, order impartial inquiries into these incidents, hold those responsible accountable; and direct the administration to put an end to all forms of discriminatory conduct. Preventive steps must be taken to stop any actions or rhetoric that could further fuel mistrust, vigilantism, or communal tension. Protecting vulnerable workers is not just a matter of governance; it is a test of our collective humanity and commitment to the idea of India. Narendra Modi Rahul Gandhi Kaushal K. The issue of alleged harassment and eviction threats faced by Kashmiri Muslim students at CT University over Sehri and Iftar arrangements during Ramzan has now been resolved. I only wish such responsiveness and sensitivity were visible across the country. Punjab, in many ways, continues to stand apart. It has always been a compassionate and welcoming home for Kashmiri students, and that enduring legacy of brotherhood and inclusivity must be preserved. Following sustained intervention by the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, the Punjab Government acted decisively. After the matter was taken up with the Punjab Chief Secretary, senior district officials; including SSP Ludhiana Ankur Gupta and SDM Upinderjit Kaur Brar visited the university campus to assess the situation and ensure the safety and security of the students. The Punjab Chief Secretary informed us that Dr. Nitin Tandon has been removed from the position of Vice Chancellor with immediate effect, and that a high-level inquiry has been constituted. The university has also initiated an internal investigation. Also, the Punjab Government has set up a high-level committee, headed by the SDM, to conduct a thorough and time-bound inquiry into the incident, including any administrative lapses or misconduct. Shahi Imam Punjab, Maulana Mohammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi, also visited the campus, met both students and university authorities, and played a constructive role in facilitating dialogue to de-escalate tensions and restore normalcy. We thank the Punjab CS, the district administration, the Sikh community, police authorities, the university management, and community leaders for ensuring the safety and dignity of the students and for resolving the matter through dialogue and institutional intervention. We sincerely thank the Government of Punjab, the district administration, the Sikh community, the police authorities, the university management, and respected community leaders for their timely intervention in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students, maintaining peace and harmony, and resolving the matter through constructive dialogue. गृहमंत्री कार्यालय, HMO India Omar Abdullah Arfa Khanum Sherwani Preeti Choudhry Kaushal K. Despite the brutal assault and nationwide outrage over the attack on an 18-year-old Kashmiri shawl seller in Vikas Nagar, Uttarakhand, the prime accused, Sanjay Yadav, has been granted bail in less than a week; raising serious concerns that the matter is being quietly hushed up, seems undue pressure may be at play, and the prosecution is being deliberately diluted. While an FIR was registered, only weak and lenient sections were invoked despite murderous assault. The victim and his family were assured that stringent legal provisions, including the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, would be invoked. However, no appropriate sections were added, and the Act was ultimately not applied in the case. Shockingly, this dilution of charges has paved the way for the accused’s release on bail. This sends a dangerous message that communal violence against vulnerable Kashmiri shawl sellers is being normalised, negotiated, and quietly buried. No deterrence has been created, no precedent set, and no real accountability ensured. We urge CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji to intervene personally, review the dilution of charges, ensure the application of stringent legal provisions, and guarantee a time-bound and transparent prosecution. Justice delayed or diluted is justice denied, and the rule of law must not bend under any pressure. An elderly Kashmiri Muslim man, Mohd Wali Shah from Anantnag Kashmir, who was in Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh for medical purposes, was questioned, mistreated, and threatened by local goons. This incident marks the eighth such case reported this year, reflecting a deeply alarming and recurring pattern. The accused, Yashasvi Arya, a resident of Village Ramdaspur (also known as Nagal, Badheri Koli), Saharanpur, who claims to be the National President of the Hindu Yuva Shakti Sangathan, along with his associates, has been filmed intercepting, intimidating, and harassing Kashmiri Muslim vendors and patients visiting the area. In the second video footage, Arya is seen using abusive and violent language, issuing open threats, and deliberately attempting to instil fear among Kashmiri Muslims. In a second video, he is heard stating, We will treat Kashmiri Muslims the way Kashmiri Pandits were treated, while making sweeping and deeply offensive claims that all Kashmiris; whether doctors or otherwise; only know how to make bombs and carry weapons. He further urged members of the Hindu community not to allow Kashmiris into their homes. These statements and actions clearly amount to hate speech, criminal intimidation, and a calculated attempt to incite communal hatred, posing a serious threat to public order, national unity, and the constitutional rights of citizens. Targeting a senior citizen seeking medical care highlights the extreme cruelty, moral bankruptcy, and lawlessness underlying these acts. Such incidents point to a systematic and deliberate effort to deny Kashmiri Muslims their right to livelihood, dignity, and free movement through fear and coercion. We appeal to the Saharanpur Police, DIG RANGE SAHARANPUR; to ensure the prompt identification and arrest of all those responsible and to send a clear and unequivocal message that lawlessness and communal intimidation will not be tolerated. We also urge CM Office, GoUP to take immediate cognisance of the matter, direct the registration of an FIR under stringent legal provisions relating to hate speech, criminal threats, and acts prejudicial to communal harmony, and ensure the swift arrest of the accused to prevent further escalation. My Take on the Viral Video Alleging Support for Suicide Bombing by a Kashmiri Student! When suicide is haram in Islam, suicide bombing is equally haram. It involves not only taking one’s own life but also harming and killing others. Islam strictly prohibits suicide, and suicide bombing compounds this sin by taking the lives of innocent people, making it an even greater crime in the eyes of God. Even if, for the sake of argument, someone claims to act out of conviction or unaddressed grievances, Islam does not permit responding to injustice by committing an even greater injustice. A suicide bomber ends their own life while killing people who have no connection to their grievances. This constitutes multiple sins before God: suicide, the killing of innocents, spreading fear, and creating chaos on earth; all of which are explicitly forbidden. The Qur’an states that killing even a single innocent person is akin to killing all of humanity. There is no legitimacy or justification for suicide bombing in Islam or in the Qur’an. Islamic teachings do not allow the targeting of civilians under any circumstance. The only context in which risking one’s life may be tolerated is during a legitimate armed conflict between states or organised armed groups, where combatants knowingly engage in battle. Even in warfare, Islam lays down strict rules prohibiting the killing of non-combatants; including women, children, the elderly, religious clergy, and anyone not participating in hostilities. Suicide bombing, indiscriminate by nature, violates every one of these foundational principles. It violates the sanctity of life, contravenes the principles of justice, and stands in direct opposition to the moral and legal framework established by the Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Suicide bombing is haram; no matter what justification Mr Umar tries to offer. His remarks are not only misguided but directly contradict the fundamental principles of Islam, which strictly prohibit taking one’s own life and harming innocent people. This is a deeply disturbing and dangerous mindset, and I condemn it unequivocally. Such narratives only fuel violence, distort faith, and mislead young minds. We must collectively reject and counter these extremist interpretations with clarity and responsibility! Kaushal K. Bakshi Nagar Police in Jammu have arrested a suspected thief and turned the incident into a public spectacle by placing a garland of shoes around his neck and making him sit on the bonnet of their official vehicle. Instead of following standard procedure and placing him inside the police van, the officers chose to parade him in full public display. How can J&K Police justify such inhuman and degrading treatment? This reeks of medieval vigilantism rather than constitutional policing. Such grotesque public humiliation, carried out in full public view, is not just a violation of the law, it is an assault on human dignity and the very principles that underpin our justice system. The SHO responsible for this barbarity has either never read the Indian Constitution or has willfully chosen to defy it. Article 21 of the Constitution guarantees the Right to Life and Personal Liberty, which includes the right to live with dignity. No person, even if accused of a crime, can be subjected to degrading treatment. The Supreme Court, in D.K. Basu vs. State of West Bengal (1997), laid down clear guidelines to prevent custodial abuse and protect the rights of the arrested. Parading an accused in such a dehumanizing manner is in blatant contempt of these directives and amounts to custodial torture and public shaming, neither of which have any place in a civilized society. Police are not mobs. They are the custodians of the law. The duty of an SHO is to investigate, not adjudicate to uphold justice, not to dispense punishment through public spectacle. Such crude displays of "instant justice" erode public trust, delegitimize the institution, and push our democracy one step closer to the abyss of lawlessness. If this is the image of policing we allow to flourish, what separates the protector from the oppressor? What separates law from vengeance? This is not a time for partisan politics. It's a moment for collective resolve to ensure justice for those who lost their lives and for their grieving families by bringing the perpetrators to justice. Among the list of victims were: Shri Manjunath from Chikmagalur. Shri Bharat Bhushan from Bengaluru. I spoke to both the wives of the deceased, Pallavi and Sujata, this morning. They are at present safe, but they are worried about the future. I spoke to the KPCC, and the Cabinet has deputed Labour Minister Santosh Lad. He said that he met two members of the family and their children. He also met nearly 200 tourists from Karnataka there in various hotels and arranged flights to return to Bangalore. I have also requested J&K CM Umar Abdullah to make arrangements for those who are not in touch with their respective states. Yesterday night, I spoke to our Home Minister; he promised me that he will take care of all those people. I offer my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and their loved ones in the tragic incident. The summer season has started, and tourists have started visiting the region. Tourism is also the biggest source of income for Jammu and Kashmir. They are dependent on that income. But due to this attack, Shri Omar Abdullah has told me that this year the economy has collapsed. The Government of India is ruling there, as it's a Union Territory, still not declared as a state. So the response would be from the Government of India. In this moment, we are all one with the government. Together we have to fight. Whosoever we are fighting against—whether it is terrorists or other agencies—we will be one together to protect the country and its unity and integrity. : Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge

GEN-Z OF KASHMIRI MUSLIMS & PAKISTAN'S MISERABLE LOSS AGAINST INDIA IN T-20 WORLD CUP: Social media of India's Kashmir Valley is full of comic short videos & reels, wherein Gen-Z of Kashmiri Muslims, who have come of age after 2019 are mocking Pakistani cricket team for their consistent miserable and pathetic performance against India in international cricket cups. NOT ONLY THIS, but most importantly they are expressing their open love and support for Indian cricket team and Indian cricket players. The attached video is that of a very popular Kashmiri Muslim Vlogger, who goes by the name "the Madhan". The video is in Koshur (Kashmiri) language, wherein he is mocking Pakistani cricket team on its loss against India in T-20 WORLD CUP qualifying match held a few days back in R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He even spits on the Pakistani cricket team and curses it throughout the comic video. But, most importantly, he mentions in Koshur language in this video that, we (Kashmiri Muslims) shouldn't care about the Pakistani team as we have our beloved Indian cricket team. It is important to add that GEN Z of Kashmiri Muslims, who have grown up in post 2019 Kashmir by and large do not think like their elder brothers & sisters (Burhan Wani generation) or their father & grand father’s generation of Kashmiri Muslims ( Kashmirs aged 50 and above). My father’s and grandfather’s generation of Kashmiris had created a self styled utopian image of Pakistan as a "pure Islamic" country full of affluence, where streets were made of gold and rivers of honey were flowing. My father's and grandfather’s generation dehumanized India as a "lowly" country of Hindu infidels. A lot of them still carry this extreme Hinduphobic mindset. This mindset brainwashed an entire generation of Kashmiri Muslims in supporting Pakistan in cricket matches, not out of sportsman spirit but for shared religious affiliation and hatred for Hindu community. ALL OF THAT CAREFULLY CRAFTED NARRATIVE HAS COLLAPSED IN POST 2019 KASHMIR. The Internet has exposed GEN-Z ( and even older generation of Kashmiri Muslims) of Indian Kashmiri Muslims to pathetic social, economic and political conditions of Pakistan. GEN-Z of Indian Kashmiri Muslims see the world's largest slum - Orangi Town located in Karachi city. GEN-Z of Indian Kashmiri Muslims also witness hyperinflation plaguing all parts of Pakistan, where people including those in Pakistan Occupied Gilgit and Baltistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are humiliated by having to stand in long queues for subsidised wheat flour. GEN-Z of Indian Kashmiri Muslims is also seeing the miserable plight of the Baloch, Pashtuns and Shias in Pakistan as well as total deprivation of constitutional rights to people of Pakistan Occupied Gilgit and Baltistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. GEN-Z of Indian Kashmiri Muslims are also seeing the banana republic politics of Pakistan that is run by much hated Pakistani Army, which didn't allow former Prime Minister of Pakistan- Imran Khan to come to power in the last elections and instead, its idiotic head - Asim Munir imposed "selected" and extremely hated jokers like Shehbaz Shariff, Bilawal Bhutto & Asif Zardari, once again on the people of Pakistan. My father’s and my grand father’s generation of Kashmiris who pushed Kashmir into vortex of hell by playing into hands of Pakistani Punjabi Muslim handlers of ISI Pakistani Army will eventually go in their graves carrying their extreme hatred for Hindus and India, but the GEN-Z of Indian Kashmiri kids will pave way for an integrated Kashmir. Ameen, Summa Ameen. Jai Hind Jai Bharat 🇮🇳🙏

I have had the privilege of heading this tripartite department, which focuses not only on law but also on RTI and human rights. A few months ago, we had a very successful all-India-level meeting at the Vigyan Bhawan, where we tried to bring people from all corners of India. Carrying forward from there: 👉 The first facet we discussed today, in line with Shri Rahul Gandhi's great initiative to revitalise district units, is that we are now making, reconstituting, operationalising, identifying, and listing for each administrative district of India a team of at least 5 senior persons from these three subjects. They will be our eyes and ears on the ground, including coordinators, actors, and movers. And this will be put together in a final list for all of India after being addressed for each district and will be done by the state chairman in consultation with us, and where there are no state chairpersons, through the nominees at the central level. 👉 The second facet we discussed is the operationalising of a Rapid Response Force, the RRF, at the state level, having a minimum of 5 senior people who can take up cudgels on behalf of the Congress party in legal matters in the court - to argue, seek relief and get things moving inside the court. We have given it a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The third facet is the building of a directory an all-India directory, searchable both by state as well as by alphabetical name across all these categories of all those involved in our department. Again, we have given this a 4-6 week timeline. 👉 The fifth and the last important facet is to try and involve youngsters, possibly between the ages 21 and 30, who want to be associated with the Congress and legal professionals - including RTI and human rights professionals. They will be tied up in an internship programme with our 127 MPs in the first phase on the said three subjects with the Congress approach, with the Congress ecosystem. They are not necessarily required to be part of the Congress as of now. If this works well, then we will also expand it to each MLA in each assembly-level position. I am thankful to all the people who attended the meeting. We had representatives from across India. So we hope to kind of tie all this together and have another function where we will present this to the Congress President Kharge ji and LoP Rahul Gandhi ji in the near future. : Chairman, AICC Law, RTI & Human Rights Department Shri Abhishek Singhvi

I Return to Jama Masjid After Month-Long Restrictions Condemn Brutal Killings, Pay Tribute to Victims and Rescuers Urge Safety for Kashmiris, Denounce Media Vilification Today, after more than one month, authorities allowed me to come to Jama Masjid. Repeatedly, I am barred from delivering the Friday sermon and offering prayers here, which, while being condemnable, is cruel to me and all those who come here to listen to the sermon, and to all Muslims of the valley who are deeply upset by such measures. I once again ask the authorities to desist from pursuing the approach of bans and bars. Sadly, during this time, we had to witness a terrifying incident which has left our hearts bleeding. The manner in which a carnage was carried out—more than two dozen people killed after ascertaining their identities and in front of their families—is shocking and chilling beyond belief. We strongly condemn it. Who better can understand the pain and grief of loss to the families of those affected than a people who have suffered it for decades and still continue to. Today, as I say this, as per the Islamic calendar, it is the 36th martyrdom anniversary of my father, Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq, and seventy others who lost their lives on this tragic day. Our hearts go out to these families who will never see their loved ones again, and our prayers are with them. We also pray for the speedy recovery of those injured. Kashmiris have always opened their hearts and homes to outsiders, especially tourists. Known for our hospitality to visitors, people of Kashmir once again upheld the tradition of outreach, help, and humanity in this distressing time. Being left helpless, locals helped those at the spot to flee, even at the risk to their own lives, in which pony operator Adil Hussain lost his life. We pay homage to this brave young Kashmiri who gave the ultimate sacrifice of life while saving that of others. Others rushed the injured, some even on their backs, trekking miles to hospitals. Kashmiris, in every manner, reached out to help the distressed tourists, as can be seen in videos where tourists are thanking them for opening up their homes to them, giving them food and free taxi rides to airports and other destinations, and even providing emotional support. People observed a complete shutdown, held spontaneous and silent protests, and candlelight vigils in memory of those killed in this horrific manner. The people of Kashmir send a strong message of their total disapproval of such actions and their solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved by standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Yet a large section of mainstream media, with its communal rhetoric of hate directed against Kashmiris, has made Kashmiris across India vulnerable, forcing hundreds to leave cities and towns, especially the students, causing great distress to their families and to all of us. I appeal to the concerned governments in different states of India to ensure the safety of our students and all other Kashmiris. I also ask the authorities to allow me to visit the injured in hospitals and to the house of Adil Hussain to pay my condolences to the family of this brave heart. Prior to prayers, in solidarity with the bereaved families, we will observe one minute of silence.
