@huggingface @OpenAI @GroqInc browser sql agents in datasets? groq crushes latency so multi-turn feels native. opens real-time exploration without devops tax, though session drift kills long chains without persistent traces. huge for non-eng teams 🇳🇴

A voice agent powered by gpt-oss. Running locally on my macBook. Demo recorded in a Waymo with WiFi turned off. I'm still on my space game voice AI kick, obviously. Code link below. For conversational voice AI, you want to set the gpt-oss reasoning behavior to "low". (The default is "medium".) Notes on how to do that and a jinja template you can use are in the repo. The LLM in the demo video is the big, 120B version of gpt-oss. You can use the smaller, 20B model for this, of course. But OpenAI really did a cool thing here designing the 120B model to run in "just" 80GB of VRAM. And the llama.cpp mlx inference is fast: ~250ms TTFT. Running a big model on-device feels like a time warp into the future of AI.

OpenAI has revealed that an autonomous agent powered by its technology went rogue during a test and hacked a prominent start-up by itself. The company behind ChatGPT said it was testing the capabilities of its advanced AI models in a controlled environment known as a sandbox, when the agent escaped containment and reached the internet. It then broke into Hugging Face, which detected and contained it. OpenAI called it "an unprecedented cyber incident".

We have HOT3D! I've started using Claude to port more datasets into Rerun and exoego-forge. I'd been meaning to bring in the HOT3D dataset from Meta for a while, but with Claude, it's way easier. My goal is to take any egocentric, exocentric, or both datasets and ingest them into a standardized schema. Getting everything into Rerun means we can easily query and transform data via the in-memory OSS server. This lets us generate SQL-like queries such as: "Find me all frames that only contain left hands in the leftmost camera view." Most people think of Rerun as a viewer, but this is the actual superpower. So far we have: 1. HOT3D 2. Hocap 3. UmeTrack 4. Assembly101 5. EgoDex Planning to add more, and with every addition, it gets easier as we build up agent skills and better code examples. Hoping to make it almost fully automatic for adding new datasets. The next few I'm looking at are Harmony4D and Aria Pilot Gen2 After we have enough samples, I'll work on bringing in all the different algorithms I've worked on to transform the data 🙂
