@WhatsYourGrief My husband died 5 years ago today, that 1st Christmas, Myself and our 4 children opened our presents and had Christmas dinner as usual but it was all a bit of a blur and looking back I’m not sure how we did it, the 2nd Christmas was definitely worse as the reality sinks in 🤍

@WhatsYourGrief It gonna be bad for me. I miss my wife so much 😢

@WhatsYourGrief Thank you. Year 2 is so hard 💜

@WhatsYourGrief This is so very true. My mum passed last November, everything a blur, now a year has passed (feels like only yesterday) and the pain feels more raw, acute, like a sledgehammer. I don’t want to bother anyone so I have retreated almost a hermit. it feels never ending.

@WhatsYourGrief This is such a relevant post. Thank you for acknowledging this. 13 months in and my daughter is struggling more now than last year when she was in deep shock and trauma.

@WhatsYourGrief Yes the first Christmas after my husband died was just awful I actually don’t know how we did it. We’re onto our 3rd still terribly hard but am able to look forward to it. Xx

@WhatsYourGrief My dad died in October last year t year I think I was still very much in shock last Xmas and my father in law was rushed to hospital very sick so spent Xmas mostly in the hospital so this year the grief really kicking in

@WhatsYourGrief Year 5 without my son. Never does it get easier. Ever.

@WhatsYourGrief We are so sorry 🧡💙
