A huge thank you to the Naperville 203 administration and Board of Education for their vision and commitment to investing in our students. Right now, college athletics is the Wild West. We are at real risk of college sports being dominated by a few super programs while smaller programs and non-revenue generating sports face extinction. That would devastate thousands of student-athletes who have used sports to get a college education and build their futures. College sports are an incredible cultural unifier. As the incoming Chairman of Senate Commerce Republicans, I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to protect student athletes' rights and preserve what's so special about college athletics.
