Huge UI design boost by adding this to my AI workflow 1. Explore variations with Variant. The secret is to use "shuffle layout" and "see other views". This keeps the essence of a design that I like, but gives interesting layout variations. I also change colors and explore narrow by specifying one or two things in prompt, like font name, UI style or light/dark mode. 2. Copy HTML and prompt with Gemini 3 in site builder. Fix minute details like fonts, icons, assets, intro/scroll animations, adaptive layout and make the whole thing functional. Include image references, button styles, code snippets and other components to keep things creative. Often, I see sites that have one cool thing, but the rest is super generic. That's because AI is especially good at being generic without continuously feeding specs. 3. Turn into a landing page by prompt adding new components/sections and connect/adapt new pages. This is the part where most people stop, but it's actually the easiest since AI is so good at reading existing code. "Adapt this {page code} for a {features, blog, pricing, login} page." Finally, set up SEO and custom domain name. Boom, you just shipped a pro-level site that doesn't look generic.

CapCut Design Studio changed the way I think about creating with AI. For a long time, creating with AI felt less like creating and more like managing files—generate, export, switch tools, edit, re-upload, repeat. The ideas were flowing, but the workflow kept getting in the way. What's changing now isn't just image quality, it's the creative process itself. This video shows how I used CapCut Design Studio to build an autumn fashion poster from scratch. I started on the infinite canvas to explore styles, then used the pencil to easily remove unwanted elements and even swap out outfits to find the perfect look for my model. Also, I used the text editing feature to instantly translate my poster into multiple languages without losing the original aesthetic. If I ever need more options, the 'One More' feature automatically creates multiple creative variations with one click. Instead of switching between multiple tools, I was able to keep the entire creative process connected in one place. AI design is moving from "generate and download" to "create, refine, and scale"—and that's the shift I'm most excited about. But the experience of designing and refining with them sucks. One reason for this is that while the terminal is an incredible tool for communicating direction with language, it is a terrible tool for defining and exploring visual and interactive objects. Here is one idea for how we might fix a small part of that. In the old world, when you wanted to create a transition or animation in your app, you would type some code, refresh your local server, and click to run your animation. It probably wasn't right, because after all no one can know what 'cubic-bezier(0.3, 0.05, 0.45, 1)' really feels like when you read it. You need to see it. Feel it. Interact with it in a real world context. So you'd edit some values, save, refresh, and keep guessing and checking until it felt right. Today, you can write a quick, single-use tool that's a visual studio for designing animations. You can then configure some components and containers common in all apps, and explore different animations in real time, adjusting key properties, and getting it just right. Then, you can copy a highly detailed prompt (or export a skill containing all your animations) that captures your intent and direction with perfect clarity. Paste this into your terminal and your agent instantly implements it everywhere. To me, this is an improvement over the old world, and a better way to work in today's. I'm extremely excited to see the ways in which our ability to rapidly create software will shape how we design software tomorrow. Feedback, ideas, and critiques welcome!

Anthropic released Claude Design TODAY and it's now accessible at I spent the last hour giving it a first look, and shared my thoughts and results in the video below. This is a BIG drop. This is a new design surface from Anthropic, and it changes what "AI design" means. Short version: Claude can now design. Not "describe a design." Not "generate an image of a design." Actual production work — prototypes, wireframes, high-fidelity mocks, slide decks, landing pages — editable, on-brand, and ready to hand off. Here's what stood out on first look: → Real design surfaces Prototypes, wireframes, hi-fi, and slide decks — each with templates and proper structure, not just pretty screenshots. → Comment-based edits Leave a comment on any element and Claude revises it. This is the Figma-style review loop, with the designer replaced by a model that works at 3am. → Brand design systems You can feed it your system — colors, type, components — and it actually respects it. On-brand output, not generic AI slop. → Export anywhere PDF, PowerPoint, Canva, standalone HTML. Plus a built-in handoff straight to Claude Code for engineers to implement. → Import from real tools Figma, GitHub, and captured web elements come in as inputs.
