Today, I am delighted to announce the completion and commissioning of a project that began 12 years ago under one of my predecessors, Rauf Aregbesola (Rauf Aregbesola). This road, completed by our administration is the Pa (Oba) Adesoji Aderemi East Bypass, Ring Road, in Osogbo. This vital road project is divided into four segments, each connected by a roundabout or interchange within the Osogbo metropolis: 1.Osogbo/Iwo Road – Osogbo/Gbongan Road 2.Osogbo/Gbongan Road – Osogbo/Ilesa Road 3.Osogbo/Ilesa Road – Osogbo/Ibokun Road 4.Osogbo/Ibokun Road – Osogbo/Ikirun Road Upon assumption of office, our administration took the bull by the horns and completed the outstanding two segments: •Osogbo/Ilesa Road – Osogbo/Ibokun Road •Osogbo/Ibokun Road – Osogbo/Ikirun Road Also known as the Stadium Roundabout – Oke Baale Roundabout – Ilesa Garage Roundabout, this stretch has a total length of 6.0 km. The overall width of the road is 19.5 meters, featuring a 1.2-meter median and two carriageways, each 7.8 meters wide with a 1.5-meter shoulder. To enhance the road’s modern aesthetics, we have completed the landscaping of all four roundabouts, giving them a facelift. Additionally, the entire 6 km dual carriageway has been equipped with solar-powered street lights, ensuring that IMOLE (light) reaches every section of the road. This milestone underscores our administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and the fulfillment of promises made to the people of Osun State to complete all outstanding projects that will benefit our people. I appreciate my brother, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde (), for honoring our invitation to commission this important project.

Facts over emotions…… This is the Ofankor-Nsawam Road undergoing construction as of 20th July, 2024. The total road stretch is 33.4km, the NPP Government was able to complete 30Km of the Ofankor - Nsawam highway which was nearing completion. The NDC Government is now constructing the remaining 3.4km which is just 10.18% of the total road under construction.

This is the junction of 1st Parklands Avenue and Masari Road. All buildings on the left of the road from Mpaka Road to Limuru Road have been erected on the banks of a river. The road behind was washed away after the river reclaimed its course. The developers should finance the construction of the entire 1st Parklands Avenue to standard accommodating the developments, build a stronger canal, storm water drainage and pedestrian walkways.

This is the Benin–Sapele–Warri Road. It was once worse than the current Benin–Agbor Road, but the government has tamed its challenges with Reinforced Concrete Pavement. The Benin–Agbor Road will also be completed, and our roads currently undergoing restoration will be fully recovered from years of abandonment.

The road construction on Princess Park Street has been progressing quite well and we grateful for the continued support and patience of the community and road users. The final road layer is in progress and it is anticipated that the surfacing be completed by Friday 12 December 2025. The safety of the road users is the core priority and it is for this reason that the Roads and Transport will implement pre-markings and install temporary stop signs for the entire festive season as the road will be open for traffic soon. As the MMC for Roads and Transport I have visited the site on regular basis since the commencement of construction ,to ensure that the set milestones and commitments to the residents of Tshwane are fulfilled.
