I take partial blame along with the rest of the industry. We did not communicate the difference between a data center built in Virginia 20 years ago and what we're building now. Most data centers today don't use more water than a golf course, and so that's a huge package of misinformation. Additionally, everybody has to bring their own power. The major benefit to that is we need more power in America. Not just data centers, we need overall power. In Utah for example, I have to bring my own power and build power not only for the data center, but to give back to the community to keep power costs down. That's a major benefit. That's gonna happen across the country.

What a spot for a trail camera! We put this camera out on a small footpath this winter for the first time just out of curiosity. We do a lot of trial and error to find good spots that wolves like to use often. The little trail is pretty close to the intersection of 3 different pack territories and we figured it might be a good place…and it was. We captured more footage of wolves and other animals on this camera that are not in this video. This video is just the highlights. Most of the other videos are at night. Notably, for every camera like this that gets great footage, we probably have 4 or 5 that are duds…and since they are duds, we don’t share that footage online!

Updating organization at the Adabench for the New Year This coming year, we wanted to update our storage and organization: with about 700 original designs, a couple dozen in progress, and thousands of items in the shop, it's hard to keep track of all the components and devboards we need to test various combinations. Historically, we've used double-sided totes ( which are good, but the double-sidedness is a bit annoying, or the little divider boxes for small breakouts ( and snap-top boxes for SMT components ( But all these cases were sort of swimming around, and it was getting unwieldy. We're going to try to use the large IKEA ALEX drawers ( - we like them cause they're wide and thin - and maybe use something like gridfinity ( to make a flat storage surface so we can quickly find any PCB or part we need.
