Berlin just hosted the best robotics meetup in Europe. 🦾 We wanted to get 50 friends together. 500 people applied once we put a private page up. The demos were all made in Europe: a fully autonomous electric tractor that lifts 4 tons (Voltrac). A multi-ton autonomous excavator (sensmore). Drones built fully in Europe (HIGHCAT). Anti-drone lasers (Stealth). Strike systems delivered by balloon (Planetfall). A payload that sees landmines through soil (Sapper Intelligence). Multiple robot arms working perfectly in sync (EVASIVE ROBOTICS). Satellite defense lasers (also Stealth). Actual Star Wars stuff. The reason we do this is simple. If these tractors, robots, lasers aren't developed and produced in Europe, they'll be built elsewhere. We need these jobs here. These manufacturing sites here. We are not simply carrying out internal reforms, nor are we simply going through a transformation. We are fighting for our state, for our independence, and for our right to choose our own path and to be Europe. And this right of ours is at the same time the right of every nation in our region. We are fighting for our freedom and theirs, for Europe for ourselves and for them – for the Baltic states and for Poland, for Hungary and Slovakia, for Romania and Moldova, and for the peoples of the Caucasus. Elon Musk: Radical deregulation is necessary in Europe. If that means leaving the EU, it means leaving the EU. “Europe is overregulated. There are too many rules and regulations that make it very difficult to create a company and do too much to protect large companies at the expense of small to medium-sized companies. So, the net result is you have a bunch of very small companies in Europe and then it's small number of very large companies, but then not much in the middle. So, there needs to be a way to go from being a small company if you're making great products and services to be able to scale to ultimately become a big company. But you have effectively regulatory capture by the large corporations in Europe. They don't really want to reduce the regulatory burden and they like the fact that the regulations effectively protect their duopolies or monopolies in some cases. So really, I think it's up to the government to say no, we have to foster small companies and allow them to compete and reduce regulations because the regulatory situation in Europe is stifling and Brussels is amplifying that greatly. Last week the company celebrated it's 1 year anniversary and announced hitting $200m ARR. I made this video to celebrate the occasion. Lovable is truly one of the most incredible businesses of all time, and in Europe we should do do a better job of celebrating our successes. Today is Europe Day. And Ukraine is marking it not formally or through sloganeering, but fully aware that we are already an inseparable part of the European family. We are defending Ukraine, our independence, our future – and in doing so, we in Ukraine are defending our Europe. A Europe of which Ukraine has been and will remain a part. From the first days of the full-scale war until today, Europe has stood with Ukraine. And this is not charity – it is a choice made by Europeans: to stand on the same side as the brave and the strong – the Ukrainians who are fighting today for peace and true protection against tyranny, not only for themselves, but for the entire continent. And we will inevitably defend our state, our people, and our right to freely choose our future – a future in Europe. Glory to Ukraine!

Marc Andreessen reveals the ultimate danger for entrepreneurs trying to lead like the greats. Before you try to run your startup by inserting yourself into every detail, you need to hear this reality check: "The thing you don't get is as follows, which is that... assumes you have somebody like Elon who can hold the entirety of every engineering topic and every business topic in their head all at the same time." "And so when you're sitting there with the 23-year-old engineer and you're working with them to redesign the database architecture or whatever, you actually are like qualified to do that. And that you're qualified to do that not just that one time, but EVERY time." It forces us to ask a tough question about the actual talent pool in tech right now: "This goes right back to the last topic we just talked about, which is like, OK, how many of those people exist who can possibly do that? And, you know, we know the answer is one." But here is where his perspective completely shifts... "I believe the answer is ten or a hundred or a thousand. I don't know if it's a million. It forces us to ask a tough question about the actual talent pool in tech right now: "This goes right back to the last topic we just talked about, which is like, OK, how many of those people exist who can possibly do that? And, you know, we know the answer is one." But here is where his perspective completely shifts... "I believe the answer is ten or a hundred or a thousand. I don't know if it's a million. We talked a good bit about Greenland on today's show. Acquiring Greenland would be a good thing for America, but I don't think it's worth seizing forcibly or otherwise mistreating a longtime ally to do it. The argument to be made is a win-win-win one (a win for America, for Greenlanders, and for the Danes). Meanwhile, hostility will mean more than just hostile media coverage: It could sabotage nationalist parties in Europe, or even justify legal crackdowns on them as pro-American fifth columns, at the exact moment migration into Europe is reaching a civilizational tipping point.

My opinion on the European Commission's proposal for an "EU Inc": We are getting the icing, without the cake. We asked for structural reform, for a genuine 28th regime. Draghi asked for a 28th regime. Letta asked for a 28th regime. The Council asked for a 28th regime. We got 27 new national forms instead. Each in their local ecosystem, local courts, and only partial harmonization, with *some* genuinely appreciated goodies. But I fear these goodies won't be consequential. Because this was always about building something that is better than Delaware. If we can't manage that Europe's best and brightest will continue founding outside of Europe, will move elsewhere, take capital from elsewhere and create jobs and growth elsewhere. Europe deserves better than this. And we frankly cannot allow unambition and political complexity to hold us back from building the Europe we need. If the EU and all 27 member states cannot deliver a true EU–INC, then we might need to build a coalition of genuinely ambitious European countries that are actually serious about fixing Europe. Why should a damn EU Court - that apparently is "too hard" to implement - keep us back from reaching global competitiveness and technological sovereignity in Europe? It shouldn't. European founders, investors and everyone who cares about Europe need to step up now and lobby their national governments and MEPs for a real EU–INC. Nobody else will do it for us. Clearly.
