Millions of Americans were uninsured, not because they did anything wrong, but because the insurance companies could legally shut the door in their faces. Before the ACA, millions of people had no coverage at all. Millions more were denied coverage because of pre existing conditions. You could be turned away for asthma, diabetes, arthritis, pregnancy, high blood pressure, or even something as simple as allergies. Insurance companies had full power to decide you were too expensive, so they could refuse you for any reason they wanted. People were also kicked off their plans the moment they got sick, because insurers could comb through their records to find a technicality and cancel them. Families went bankrupt because lifetime caps cut off treatment in the middle of chemotherapy. That was the system we had before the ACA and pretending it was better is dishonest. The ACA ended denials for pre existing conditions, ended lifetime caps, allowed young adults to stay on their parents’ plans, banned companies from dropping you when you get sick, and expanded Medicaid so low income families finally had coverage. For millions of people, it made their lives better, safer, and more stable. So no, Obamacare did not make people’s lives worse. It made it so ordinary Americans could actually go to the doctor without losing their home. You are rewriting history, and the only thing your version leaves out is the truth. And honestly, I know you would not understand any of this because you and your party do not actually care about everyday Americans. Although you probably meant it made things worse for the insurance companies who used to get rich by screwing people over.

You have offered NOTHING as an alternative. The ACA has covered tens of millions of Americans that wouldn't have coverage otherwise. It made it so insurance companies couldn't deny your application if you have a pre-existing condition. What has your party done?

If the ACA is so bad why do 80% of those on it say that they’re happy with it. The biggest complaints about the ACA are from those who aren’t on the ACA. Clearly they’re talking out of their Trump. The ACA needs work, but it’s better than the Republican alternative - NOTHING.

Republicans stripped the provisions in the ACA that were meant to keep costs down and then blame democrats for the rising costs. Clown show. Nobody cares who fixes it, just fix it already.
