Today marks 32 years of the SSU’s Center of Special Operations “Alpha,” and I am grateful to you for strengthening the Center, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our entire state every year. I presented state awards to the warriors of the SSU’s Center of Special Operations “Alpha” and handed over an award to the family of a fallen Hero who was honored with this title posthumously. Over the years of our full-scale defense, the Security Service of Ukraine has become one of the world’s strongest security services: a truly combat-capable service. And a major part of this achievement is the result of Alpha’s work. I thank every Alpha warrior for your service! I thank everyone who supports you and helps you. I thank your families for raising such outstanding Ukrainian warriors! And we must always remember each and every one of them: all Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives in this war, defending our independence, so that Ukraine could live.

Far from routine work, these technicians maintain, monitor, and secure the backbone of Canada’s telecom infrastructure — including 911 and emergency networks. Today, our long-range sanctions reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan – roughly 800, 1,400, and 1,500 kilometers from the front line. They also reached the Voronezh region – about 300 kilometers from our border. I thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence agencies for their accuracy.
